Started checkin process at the facility and this was after talking to Mr Nick(apparently the manager) over the phone with a quote of $69 a night. Once we got to the facility Mr Nick kept us busy in a conversation and seemed nice.
During the conversation he asked us if we needed two beds and then he mentioned that he will give us a discounted rate(but never mentioned the actual rate or the discounted rate) because the original rate of $69 he quoted was for one bed apparently.
Then asked us to swipe our card without giving us the total price or the rate of the room. We noticed $100.24 charges on bill. As we were about to sign the bill out of curiosity asked that he never mentioned these charges. Wanted to give him a pass on price mishap since we were tired and wanted to get in the room but just wanted him to know that he didn’t mention the price for the room and charged us higher price without first confirming with us.
All he had to do was to just acknowledge that he forgot to mention and we would have been ok with it. But not only did he initially refused to acknowledge his mistake but got a bit angry to seemingly very upset to turning almost in an arrogant manner saying that he doesn’t want to give us the room any more adding that he is the manager and the owner of the facility. Tried recording him for a bit but eventually he didn’t want to speak in front of the camera anymore. Even requested him to let us speak instead of forcing his version of events again and again and reminding him that he is standing on that side of the counter which is for customer service and we are the customers. In the end apparently it seemed that he realized his mistake and tried to apologize but kept on insisting that he doesn’t want to give us the room any more. Not sure if that apology would be considered valid. This experience may not fully represent the facility or its management. It just felt like we were tricked into a higher price without knowing and we were willing to give him the pass had he not turned harsh on us.
During the initial conversation before the charges was thinking this may be a good place to bring family every time we visit San Antonio. Even during the heated conversation kept on giving him chances to make it work but not sure why he had to mention that he is the manager and the owner and don’t want us as guests any more and all we did was pointed out that he didn’t mention the higher price before charging us. Please check prices before coming and hope y’all have much better experience than we did.

Read moreJUST DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! it’s not worth the $60 we paid!!!! Come in to a BAKING room, no air had been on all day(checked in at 9pm) and smells like mold. Go to shower not a drop of hot water, then EVERY SINGLE TOWEL AND RAG HAS HAIR IN IT!!!! The towels were so disgusting and dirty like they weren’t even washed, black like used to mop the floor, had to use our clothes to dry off. Go to get in bed and the pillow has blood satins on it, washed or not that’s disgusting to look at although it WAS NOT faded soooo probably not washed. Pull the sheet all the way off and guess what, someone’s shorts are at the bottom tucked in the sheets. HOW DISGUSTING!!!!! Everything is just nasty. I’ve never been to a hotel with no ice, no soap, no coffee, no cups. They give you nothing but dirty sheets and towels. This is a health violation for sure. If it wasn’t midnight and my elders weren’t already asleep from an exhausting day I would leave. Stripped the bed and sleeping on my cover with no pillow, used clothes to dry with and can’t even get a cup of coffee. Please just spend the extra and go somewhere you aren’t gonna wake up with someone’s shorts around your foot. They also lie about everything! We have no microwave no jetted tub no walk in shower… lots of things that the room says it has it doesn’t. Don’t expect anything but a bed. Update after the night… the toilet won’t flush unless you hold it for over a minute. Sleeping in??? Haha housekeeping knocking at straight up 10 when check out is 11 after I said no thank you. “Well are you leaving at check out or staying” man go away!!!! I have a toddler sleeping and you are yelling bothering us. Read morePlease!!!!!! Do not stay at this hotel in so bad conditions I was moved to 3 different rooms before my regular check in at 3 pm. I was requested to pay $20 extra if wanted to check in at 12 pm which is understandable. However when given the ROOM 212 OMG stinks so bad, comforter had several cigarettes' burns AC unit in so bad conditions and dirty l was moved to ROOM 219 this one curtains were all broken I did not when inside all you can see curtains where about to fell off.
