This rating is only based off of what I experienced during my first and only visit. The bar service was however, so bad, that I felt I needed to leave this review, so it could be taken very seriously, and addressed. I will go back to Rock & Brew because I liked the atmosphere and have heard good things about the food, but if the bartenders don't lose their monumental ego, and actually learn how to tend bar, I would definitely not order any alcohol except for maybe a Dos XX, so they don't screw it up. There were two bartenders at the time. One at the main, inside bar, and one outside. It was early, around 4:45, so the place was almost empty. We sat at the indoor bar for 10 minutes, listening to the bartender sarcastically remark "it's my first time bartending" to the waitstaff, when he was asked if he knew how to make a specific drink, and then asked if it was ready yet. Never once, did he even make eye contact with us, let alone acknowledge us. It wasn't until that same server, came back to the bar, and asked the bartender, "have you even offered these people a drink?" that we were finally "noticed." The bartender responded, "don'tworry about me, I've got it all under control up here." Ummmm, no he didn't. I thanked the server for being good at his job. My husbandand I were there to meet a big birthday party, otherwise we would have left long before. I ordered a "dirty Sapphire straight up. 5 min later, the bartender came back to ask me if that was a martini. Clearly, this guy had no idea how to bartend! The martini was off in color. Slightly brown. It tasted horrible, cheap and bitter. I don't think he used Bombay Sapphire, and I know, the olive juice was rancid. Outside, that bartender was much better at greeting us, but I ordered a hoppy beer and he gave me a grapefruit based white ale. It was not hoppy at all. Very delicious but I don't think the staff is educated on any alcohol. We ordered 2 beers and 2 waters. He forgot the waters. It was 101 outside, so the waters were definitely needed. My advice to management...#1-Fire Man-Bun from his job inside the main bar. He doesn't deserve the position. #2-Train your staff on beer, wine and liquor. #3- Train the bartenders to always rotate and keep garnishes and mixers fresh! The restaurant business is highly competitive with a high mortality rate. If you don't care about your customers, they won't...
Read moreWe went before we headed to a movie. We ordered, then another server came to take our order. We got our food from another server. I explained to her we had a movie to catch and asked for the check. The wings were what we ordered and they were just as good as previous to go orders from there. Consistently good food will keep you in business. She refilled my drink which had been empty for some time. When we entered I noticed the music seemed extremely loud and echoed poorly. I understand it's a rock and roll themed restaurant but I should be able to talk to other members of my party sitting across from without having to yell. Maybe the building just has really poor acoustics. However, the amateur on stage and his co singer were out of tune/off key, and their "music" was torture. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. They covered many classic songs and I'm sure the original artists were turning in their graves or would be disgusted by their cover. I understand you gotta start somewhere, but not a restaurant venue. That being said, who am I to judge them? I've been in the restaurant and service industry for many years. I booked talent for several venues. I am in the process of building a concert venue in my home state. I've also toured and seen many different music venues all over the southern US while researching the design for my own. I went to culinary school at Johnson and Wales which included business and service as part of the educational course. If I ever see them "performing" again, I'll get my...
Read moreWent here for a charity event. Staff is still training but did an excellent job. Food and cocktails were awesome. We had the jalapeño poppers and chips and queso for appetizers. My husband and I really enjoyed the poppers, and my young kids liked the chips. I thought the chips were ok.
My husband got a drink called smoke on the water, it’s served on dry ice and has a super cool smoky effect. I had the purple haze. Both were really tasty and strong! my Kids loved their raspberry lemonade which is served like a mocktail lemon wedge and a sugar rim.
I had the Nashville hot chicken salad. It was topped with the most delicious fried chicken breast in a spicy Nashville sauce. It had crisp romaine, avocado, cheese and tortilla strips in it too. So good. Huge and enough for two people to share honestly. My husband had the Alice cooper burger, he said it was good, and spicy. We all really liked their fries as well. My kids had typical kids meals, and they were happy with them.
We had the chocolate little donut ball thingys for desert…they were a little undercooked in the center, but I won’t hold that against them as they are not even open yet and I’m sure they will get those as per effect as everyone else.
The atmosphere was cool. A little loud for the kids, next time we go we will get a baby sitter. Perfect vibe for a fun date night. Over all The food was really good and we will definitely be...
