The Rustic Gallery — Local services in San Antonio

Purchased two desks from TRG in June 2020. Received both in November. One was damaged, so we refused it. I'm still waiting (Feb 2021) for the replacement. They keep telling me "We're doing all we can", even though they have the replacement sitting at their store. They won't send it until they get the $500 from the delivery company that they consigned it to in the first place. I've called repeatedly (about every two weeks). Today, the receptionist tells me "you're not the most pleasant person to deal with". Wow. Just WOW. I guess waiting nearly 8 months for a desk and being upset about the wait after I've paid for it makes me an "unpleasant person to deal with". I would never do business with these guys again. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB as well as a suit against them for the amount of the desk. What fun. All they had to do was ship the replacement promptly and properly. They've indicated they've had the replacement for two months now. ??????

So they responded I see below. However, their dates are incorrect, as mine were noted on each communication. I've got all the texts. In addition, they NEVER offered to refund me until I TOLD THEM I wanted to get my money back. The claim they were talking about was a claim THEY had to file with THEIR shipper. It was not a claim I had to file. SOOOO, if the shipper didn't pay the claim, were they then going to tell me I was out of luck and no refund? I'm guessing this is the case. My family had an absolutely fabulous experience with the Rustic Gallery. We were in search of a unique/particular dining table --- which they happened to have! We were skeptical initially because we were never able to travel to the store and see what was available, but the gentlemen at store and warehouse were thorough, communicative, accommodating, and demonstrated hearts of service. Eating meals together with my family is a treasured time. It is a dream come true to have such a beautiful and welcoming place to sit and eat for every meal --- the matching stain is perfect, the seating we pieced together is comfortable, classy, and matches! The table is incredible, the red coral inlay is exactly what we wanted, and my tall husband is thrilled the table bases could be adjusted for the extra leg room. We were essentially able to pick, tweak, and purchase custom furniture and have it delivered within a week for a great price.
