Never have I ever! About halfway through our order, three sandwiches with myself and daughter ordering, I started choking- throat tightened, coughing. Weâre brand new to San Antonio and my allergies have been off the charts. The AC wasnât great so they had low fans directly over the food area(!) on full blast and it triggered my allergies. I stepped back and waited while my daughter finished her sandwich and started mine. The woman owner was clearly annoyed having to deal with a non-adult so I stepped forward, turning my head each time I coughed and apologizing. Many of their raw veggies were frozen, ingredients were tossed from halfway across, meats had fallen into cheese and veggie bins. We were there at approx 7PM, well after any dinner rush, and many bins were empty. When we asked for oregano we were told brusquely that they donât have that. I watched the customers ahead of us ask for veggies that were low, and frozen or dried out, be given the bottom icky ones instead of bins being refilled. I avoided those when ordering. I finished as quickly as possible despite her moving very slowly and avoiding eye contact with me. I gave my card to my teen daughter and allowed her to finish the order while I stepped to the door to regain my composure. AFTER ringing my daughter up she leaned over the counter and told her that she was giving us a warning. She would remember us, and if we ever came back in and coughed again she would refuse us service in the future. She didnât even look at me. I was going to let a lot of the food handling violations go and just use a different Subway. Now, since she messed with my kid and didnât treat me with a shred of human decency (never asked if I was alright, never offered water or just to put the order to the side, never checked to see if maybe I needed medical assistance⌠Iâve worked customer service, food service specifically, these are NECESSARY and LEGAL requirements), I am leaving this one star review. Do better, at least act like you care about a fellow human. Donât want to see my face again? No problem, Iâm not returning to your business, nor do I encourage anyone...
   Read moreWent in for a foot long around 7:30. Two young guys were working. They were chatting with a girl that I guess just got off from her shift there. She looked around the same age as them. The guy who was making my sandwich took forever to pull my sandwich out of the oven and it started smoking. He pulls out the sandwich and then takes his gloves off and meets the other guy around the corner where the corner canât barley see and they are just talking with this girl while a line of 4 plus people have built up. After a couple of minutes they finally start to make our sandwhiches again and I asked for my veggies and then have it put back in the oven. He pulled it out on time. I asked for mayo and I guess the bottle was almost empty. He didnât even bother refilling it for me. He just gave me what was left. Thatâs very lazy. I check out and when I get to my car I check the sandwich and it was basically toast. It was so hard and crunchy. I didnât bother returning it because it was raining and I just wanted to go home. I always get my sandwiches double toasted but since this kid let the oven beep for what get like 5 minutes. I guess my sandwich was way over cooked. My wife went to pick up my order and the girl behind the counter told her that they didn't have the order and that there was no record of it. My wife showed the lady the email receipt as well as the charge on my bank account, she also verified that this was the correct location, which it was. The lady, for whatever reason, began to argue with my wife and told her that she would need to redo the order and pay for it again! The lady also called the manager of the store and he told my wife that there was nothing he could do. The lady behind the counter became so irritated that she walked out of the store. I have never been as frustrated with any business as I am with subway! The situation should have been resolved in-store. We never received our order. You guys don't deserve any stars!
