Today I came into the shop looking for pokĆ©mon cards and left with my heart so full after the amazing interaction I had not only with the employee but with others in the store. š»āØLet me explain... I have been a huge PokĆ©mon fan since I was a little kid. I'm talking 5 years old. After rekindling of my love for card collecting last year, I decided to start collecting again just for the fun of it. I'd become very disheartened over the past couple months, because due to scalpers and other people who just want to make a buck I was unable to get simple single packs at any of the other local GameStops until today. Max was super helpful when I called letting me know that they had a bunch of options for me it - tins or packs. At the time there was another fellow PokĆ©mon collector who's buying tens and cards at the same time as me and we connected. How you may ask, we took the time to sit together and open our packs and get excited. And honestly, it made me so happy and grateful for a GameStop like this one to still be able to have these moments with the people who enjoy not only the games, but the cards in the way that they were intended just for fun -Not serious, not investing. My son took something off a hanging display rack and the little metal peg it was hanging on fell off and clattered to the ground. She raised her voice to him and told him (talking around me) to either put it back or give it to her in a rude/annoyed way. Ok, my son is 8 and it was obviously an accident. I told the lady that I could handle it. He showed me the cool toy and put it back where it was without prompt. There was no need to be rude that way to a customer and to speak to someone elseās child that way before I even could address the situation. Please have this lady have customer service training or she wonāt last long in such a role. Called again today and asked about the item again since it still shows in stock and they said it's on hold again for same customer because they had an issue. I asked how long they hold for customers and they said 1 week regardless even hearing from the customer. Get real people, a 24 hr hold works for every other place because that is what's fair.
