Tacos Los Primos — Restaurant in San Antonio

I drive by this area at night and always see long lines. I was curious so I stopped. Tenia hambre and so I ordered their 5 mini taquitos de lengua and a 32oz horchata. The total was $16. I was like "did I order extra tacos?" I've NEVER paid $16 for mini tacos and an agua Fresca at any taco truck. It's not like their tacos were even good. It lacked flavor, salt and soul! No valen la pena. It didn't even come with a small cup of Charro Beans. They also have their salsas in wide open containers where bugs and spit from people standing over them can fall in. Its best you get in the long line at Taquitos West Ave. They serve better everything. I only gave this place a 2 star out of pity. I was flat out not impressed with their taquitos. Extremely disappointed. Come check them out for yourself, let us know what you think...but don't say I...

On a visit to San Antonio we were fortunate enough to encounter a long line at Taquitos West Ave so we wound up at Tacos El Primo. It’s a large food truck in the parking lot of a tire store. They have half a dozen tables. We had a great meal and a great time. The guys working the truck were welcoming and helpful. They got us set up with chorizo and bistek tacos, refrescas, charros, and chicken quesadillas for the kids. Everything was excellent, fresh, straightforward and quality ingredients. They had three salsas that were each top notch. The corn tortillas were great which is always a make or break.
