Updated review: Been a few times after that initial visit, and noticed each time that what I paid did not seem to match what was posted on their website menu (the differences were significant). During my last visit as I paid for my order, I asked the lady who took my payment about the discrepancy. Honest mistakes happen, so I wanted to give her the opportunity to make it right and just correct the mistake…I’m glad to pay for what is clearly advertised, and do not expect any special discounts or anything for free. She simply replied that the website prices were old and that they had gone up (no apology given), as if I was expected to be a mind-reader. Imagine for example, sitting down at a restaurant, ordering from the menu, enjoying the food, and then receiving a bill that is significantly higher than what was advertised on the menu. At worst, it’s fraudulent. There is at least one other reviewer who has said that she or he was confused and disappointed at the same discrepancy…I can empathize and corroborate with that reviewer from my own experience. As you can see from my initial visit below, the food was excellent, but simple transparency and honesty about pricing to me is paramount in any business transaction…it should be a given. I have respectfully emailed the business about updating their website menu, but my email was kick-backed as “undeliverable.” I will certainly not return until it is at least corrected. SA has too many great taco restaurants to have to put up with misleading or dishonest advertising. I hope the owners do the right thing and rectify their “mistakes.”
Old review: First visit to Wurzbach location today on 8/14/21. Delicious, generous portions, quick and friendly service, fresh salsa bar, and good value. San Antonio obviously knows Tex/Mex food, and a business cannot survive and thrive without having solid quality, excellent flavors, and good value. Glad to support this local business. Will definitely patronize them again. Note that dining area is limited; seems to specialize in carry-out and...
Read moreSo before I get into my thoughts of the food and whatnot, to those individuals who are complaining about the prices and how there is a discrepancy once you go in person to pay. It's funny they're willing to make a bad review because of that but leave out the fact that in person, they have signs on the registers in big font explaining due to supply and cost of ingredients, the pricing on the menu is adjusted. And those signs have been there for a very long time. Just people finding something to complain about honestly and not reading when they're paying. And if a couple dollars breaks you for food that is worth the higher price, then maybe stay home and cook your own food.
But all you people need to know is that the food here is phenomenal, and hands down some of the best Mexican food you find here in SA. I love that these tortillas are hand made, right in front of you, and made daily. Salsa bar is also top tier. I personally enjoy that I can add a fried egg to any taco and just makes everything so much better. Definitely give this...
Read moreI stopped in at this Tacos N Salsa location, I've been to the other locations, too, many times but very infrequently visit this one.
It's a nice, quaint, little takeout store located in a shopping center at Wurzbach and Lockhill Selma intersection.
We arrived I right when they opened, and we're quickly greeted. We ordered and within minutes, our order was brought to us.
There is counter only seating, and outside tables at this location, so be aware that this configuration.
My order was a bean and egg, and a potato and egg taco. My guest ordered 2 fajita tacos. The food was good, and some condiments and salsa were applied prior to eating. Both sets of tacos were good tasting and met the high standard that I've become accustomed to when dining or getting any food from Tacos N Salsa locations.
I hope you take the time to visit one and that your experience is as...
