The Irish Pub — Restaurant in San Antonio

The after work spot for my boss and I never had any problems before tonight. Seem that right away it wasn't going to go as usual. We've been during the week never on a weekend and because it's usually a younger crowd of people. Not our tub of tea especially being were there for one or two drinks never to over due ourself and being late in the evening already we got there at 1:25am no later than 1:30 took them till 1:44 and I set my stopwatch on my phone to time them.. after being ignored a customer at the bar already finally flagged down the women bartender who from the start didn't want to serve us and it was obvious. Not a big deal we can wait. Came up took his order and asked us for id (good girl) I've been there before no problems at that the girls served me plenty times. I didn't have my I'd this time but showed an expired one I did happen to keep in case of emergencys. She said she wouldn't be able to serve us and even after almost now 2am so long to even come check on us now we couldn't even go and have a drink any where else. It wasn't a big deal but could honestly have checked within the t.a.b.c rules of engagement on a customer whos walked through the door. If I was to sit at a table of others already there and started drinking there drink without getting carded. Clearly the bartenders(one male and one female)(and one bar-back) served only the customer's who can up to the center to order there own drinks and the people at the bar sitting all had empty or close to finished drinks.. it didn't make sense why having the two bartenders.. customers having to wait on a drink and at that us waiting almost 30 min to even get carded. It wasn't a good time that's for sure. Two girls younger than I was clearly drunk couldn't even stare straight walked in from outside and turned on there flashlight on there phones. One girl came up to the bar up besides me almost in my lap so I got up scooted over my bar chair and stayed standing wondering what she was doing?? She was trying to catch a mouse and even got upset that I was in the way and she couldn't find once it ran under the bar. Who know where but it's a rat a baby rat. Carrying who knows of a sickness and she was trying to catch with her bare hands. I wouldn't even step into this bar again having no respect for me and boss to at least try to do your job right. I've bartended over 9 yrs being 29 now. I can say it wasnt a place you want to go!!! T.a.b.c should check it out and if not than the owner should at least step up they're employees on there bad behavior and get the places set with traps just Incase. I would be happy to hear they shut it down that's for sure....

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Irish Pub, and I have to say, bartender Kayla made the experience unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with soft lighting and a relaxed vibe that set the perfect tone for the evening.

Kayla greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Her extensive knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she took the time to ask about our preferences before recommending a few drinks.
