Came by on a Saturday afternoon as wanted to try a new pizza and wings spot. Walked in and was immediately greeted, drink orders taken, menus given, and asked if I've ever been here before. From there, was able to pick any of the about 20 tables. There were only 3 other parties there, so had plenty of options. Another gentleman came to take the food order. Started off with the Mozzarella Sticks, Buffalo Wings, Garlic Parmesan Wings. Mozzarella Sticks came out first in about 5 minutes, then followed by the wings after about 10 minutes. Mozzarella Sticks had a nice crispy crunch on the outside with a nice melt on the inside. It was served with a nice marinara sauce that was covered in extra seasonings. The wings were really good. I ordered two half orders to try different flavors. Both were also crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside. The Buffalo was mild and not very spicy. The Garlic Parmesan had a nice Parmesan that tasted cooked in and not just sprinkled on regular wings.

For the pizza, ordered the large Works pizza. The pizza was amazing. Visually it was well prepared with a generous amount of ingredients that were symmetrically placed. My favorite part was the nice thin, crispy crust that was perfectly and evenly baked. Not having a thick, doughy crust allows the flavor of the pizza to really stand out. The ingredients were fresh and crispy too. Pizza was not greasy at all.

For dessert, had the Zeppos. It seemed to be the same pizza dough, just fried with cinnamon and covered with powdered sugar. It reminded me of Sopapillas. As simple as they were, they were really good. Throughout the meal, the same 2 gentlemen came by to make sure everything was good and refill the drinks. The gentleman who greeted me upon arriving came by just to see what I thought about my first experience. He was very excited to hear I loved it and told me about all the regular customers he sees, even one who visits when in town from Alaska.

I closed out my bill and was almost to my car parked out front. They didn't know I left, so young gentleman came running out just to say thank you for coming out and look forward to me coming back again. This was very impressive, especially as I was almost to my car. Food was amazing and outstanding customer service. Will...

Tank's Pizza in San Antonio, Texas, is a hidden gem that delivers not only delicious food but also a fantastic dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the spacious dining area welcomes you with open arms, providing ample seating for both small and large groups.

Food Highlights:

Maxed Out Meat Pizza: This pizza is a carnivore's dream come true. Loaded with generous portions of pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham, and ground beef, every bite is a flavor explosion. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making it the perfect base for the mountain of toppings. The cheese melts beautifully, creating a gooey, savory delight that keeps you coming back for more.

Mozzarella Sticks: A classic appetizer done to perfection. The mozzarella sticks at Tank's Pizza are crispy on the outside with a warm, gooey cheese center. Served with a side of marinara sauce, they make for an irresistible start to your meal.

Sweet Honey Cajun Wings: These wings are a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The honey glaze adds a delightful sweetness, while the Cajun seasoning packs a punch of flavor that will tantalize your taste buds. They are cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior, making them a must-try for wing lovers.

Dining Experience:

The ordering process at Tank's Pizza is impressively quick, ensuring you get your food without a long wait. The restaurant also boasts an inside bar, perfect for enjoying a drink while you wait for your meal or catching up with friends. The bar is well-stocked with a variety of beverages, making it a great spot for both casual drinks and special occasions.

One of the standout features of Tank's Pizza is their weekly Sunday events out back. These events are a fantastic way to enjoy good food, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere. It's a wonderful addition that sets Tank's Pizza apart from other dining establishments in the area.

The customer service at Tank's Pizza is exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. To top it off, Tank himself often makes the rounds, personally welcoming guests to his establishment. His warm hospitality and genuine interest in ensuring every customer has a great experience add a personal touch that makes you feel...

This was the first time trying out this place. We had high expectations from all the amazing reviews and praises towards the food. Unfortunately, for us it was a miss. Not to mention, a very pricey disappointment.

The atmosphere is comfortable and roomy. The music that was being played was extremely loud, to the point we couldn't hear each other. Not to mention, the person messing with the music would only let about a min of a song play before changing it to another tune. It became annoying after awhile. The restrooms were clean and well kept.

The staff that we encountered are really kind and personable. If I was only rating based on the employees, then I would give this place 5 stars.

Now the main course... the food. We decided to try a few of the well reviewed items according to the commenters below. We ordered: Medium Works Pizza, meatball sub, spaghetti with meatballs, cheese sticks, and 2 sweet teas.

Where to begin? The pizza was wet and floppy (what one would call a NY style). It had a lot of ingredients which ended up falling off when you tried to pick up and fold. It had an off smell to it that made our stomach turn.

The meatball sub look nothing like the prior pictures I've seen from other people. The bread was inedible because it was too hard to bite into. The meatballs were dried out and had no flavor.

Spaghetti with meatballs... the presentation looked amazing and the scent from the spices and herbs spread across the rim of the plate was heavenly. Sadly, the pasta had no flavor and the marinara sauce was dry... same description of the meatball goes for these too.

We ordered cheese sticks but got a cheese bread instead. It had way too much olive oil on it which took over the flavor of any other herb that might have been on that bread not to mention made it feel like it was soaked in grease.

It really does make me sad to write a poor review because the people who work here are amazing. Perhaps it was an off day or our pallets couldn't mesh well...
