Last night (6/5/22) my boyfriend and I drove through this location to pick up an order for the food delivery service that we deliver for. It was very late, around midnight, and having experienced numerous late night fast food drive thrus in my time as a delivery driver my expectations were set low.
Much to my surprise, we were promptly greeted by a polite woman over the intercom who told us to pull forward ahead of the line to pick up our order. A few moments later she appeared outside and informed us that they were out of the entree for the order we were there to pick up. Typically, at this point, most fast food workers would shrug me off and leave me to figure out what to do about the delivery. This woman, however, did not. She immediately offered a replacement, or a refund if the customer preferred, all the while maintaining her pleasant disposition despite the inconvenient situation. She waited patiently while I contacted the customer (which took several minutes), who accepted the substitution, then returned to the restaurant to prepare the order.
Meanwhile I noticed two other employees, a teenage looking male and another slightly older male who appeared to be the cook, and I realized that these three employees were the only ones working that night. I felt for them because the restaurant seemed pretty busy, as there were several other orders going out at the same time. The younger male came over to assure us that the order would be out soon, and continued to run orders out to other customers.
After a few moments longer the woman came out with some of our order and informed us that the rest was being packed up. She even offered us each a drink while we waited. The cook then came outside I assume for a small break, followed by the younger male who brought us the rest of our order. We thanked them, and as we were preparing to leave I overheard the younger male sigh deeply and tell the older male, "man, I'm tired".
Of course he was, he had been working hard! They all had. The remarkable thing was that this team, as tired and overworked as they were, was absolutely stellar. They were so polite and cheerful and on top of everything. I have never had such a pleasant experience going through a fast food drive thru, especially that late at night. I was left in awe. I know I didn't actually patronize this establishment, but I felt that this team deserved some recognition for their job well done. They were a 5 star team, and so I'm leaving them a 5 star review. I only wish I had thought to catch their names...

August 1, 2024 Went into the location at n. New Braunfels ave and e. Houston street san antonio, tx. This place is ridiculous. There was no one in the drive thru and I was at the counter inside. I placed 2 orders. They gave me my first order about 10 minutes after I had placed them. I watched them "supposedly" preparing my second order. They had nothing on the grill except one piece of grilled chicken and one tortilla which I watched them end up throwing away. After I received my first order, I stood at the counter for an extra 35 minutes longer before they finally gave me my second order. It took these people a total of 45 minutes to make and give me my two orders when they had no one at the drive thru and Only one other lobby customer who came in and ordered after me. I would hate to see these people in a really really busy location...their minds would be blown because they would not know what to do....they can not handle cooking several orders on the grill at the same time. This location only cooks one order on the grill at a time. My food when I finally was able to get it was ice cold, the meat hard and dry(old). This is the second time I have complained about this place and though i recieved a response from the owner regarding my last complaint, nothing absolutely nothing was changed. You need to get rid of every person at this location starting with management and hire people who actually do want to work, who take pride in their job, who are properly trained, and who care about what and how they serve their customers. If the employees would not want their food cold, dry, hard, old and nasty....why would you serve your customers food like this? We are the ones who pay the employees salaries ...without us, they would not have a job or a paycheck. Treat your customer as you yourself would want to be treated.
Update....
July 12, 2025 Just left jack in the box on n. new braunfels/e. houston street. I ordered the grilled chicken garden salad, paid $ 7.50 plus tax for that salad. Got home and opened it up, hardly any actual lettuce(salad), and as for the "grilled chicken?"....ONLY 2 strips(very thin strips) of chicken broken in half on the whole salad. Talk about price gouging for something I wouldn't pay three dollars for. Wow! Never...
