Teresita's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in San Antonio

So my boyfriend and I just came from picking up nachos at this restaurant. We chose the 'super nachos' for $8.99. We waited for approximately 20 minutes until it was ready. The service was bad, first off. And since we ordered it To Go, I noticed that it felt really light as we were walking back to our vehicle. So we got home & the first things we noticed when we opened the To Go plate, (which was also a wrong plate) was how little the amount it was and how we can tell it was microwaved. There was like 15 chips, at most, on our plate. Which is definitely not good. It sucked and we will not be going back. Which is a shame because we live near by and its the closest mexican...

This is 100% a tip trap. Stay away!! Please look for another Mexican restaurant for your meal. Food was not great (salty). Besides this, at the time I paid my check, the cashier did ask me if I wanted to leave a tip, but she never said that a tip was already added to my check, so I left more tip on top of what I was already charged (20% tip). After I saw my receipt totaling $16.25 (for an enchiladas plate of $10.99) I went back and talked to the lady to make her aware that they should be clear and inform about the tip already charged and then they can ask if I/we wish to leave an additional tip. I ordered the carne guisada special and unfortunately found a hair in my food. I sent it back and decided to try the fideo loco instead — only to find another hair on the plate. While the second one wasn’t directly in the food, it was still unsettling and completely unacceptable. This raises serious concerns about hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. It seems like someone may not be wearing a hairnet or following basic food safety protocols. I highly recommend the staff take a food handling course or refresh their training on proper sanitation.
