The Longhorn Cafe — Restaurant in San Antonio

First walked in and the lady behind the counter yells to me if I was so snd so…I said no ma’am . As my husband and I approached the counter she said well what is your name is a snooty tone. I paused and looked at my husband like maybe this is not the place we wanna be at. My husband said his name. She then looked back at me and said well I need your name so that I can Call it when the food is done. There was no high welcome to Lonestar Café. How are you today? There was no welcome. We then went to pick out a seat till our food was done and as we were looking for a spot we noticed 7 tables still had trays and food on them from previous customers. Once we chose a what we thought was a clean booth … we sat down I felt crumbs in my seat. I then noticed the table has ketchup semi dried up on it. So, I wiped it off. I told my husband I was not impressed by this restaurant by the lady up front and her rudeness and the atmosphere being dirty. I then noticed more ketchup on the table. As we were eating our food, no one came around to clean up the tables for over the 30 to 40 minutes that we were there. Three employees look to be on shift. When we were about to leave, one gentleman began to start picking up…I noticed that he was picking up the tables, but never wiped down a single one. That would explain why our table still had ketchup on it and had crumbs everywhere. My husband and I discussed this will not be a place that we will return. We have this thing when we leave we didn’t have a good vibe. We give it a grade, give this place a D Minus. The establishment was not busy at all, and had two other guests besides us. We came in around 3 PM . As for the food, it was OK. It was not something that we would sprint back for. But honestly, the atmosphere...

Let me start off with saying I am from Lubbock Texas we came down here for a graduation and I was looking for a good place to eat now let me tell you this place was above and beyond expectation great customer service the food was amazing the most tender chicken fried steak I have had in a long time the gravy that came with my chicken fried steak was so good as well for all of y'all country folks out there this is the spot let me tell you another thing are cheeseburgers are amazing mouth-watering burgers Define is toasted with butter that first bite that you take make sure you add bacon to it that would probably be the best burger you have had and the chicken fried steak came with homemade mashed potatoes as well and the green beans were amazing as well they had a smoky flavor to them this place just did not disappoint at all oh yes and by the way they have homemade ranch and they have mushrooms their fried mushrooms they are to die for as well so many things about this place I highly recommend you try this place out it takes a little bit if they're pretty busy to get your food but it's well worth the wait thank you for an awesome meal. We went to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The food was great. However, Isabel the lady working the register was very rude and had an attitude with several customers when taking or picking up their orders. When we realized there were options of chedder vs. American cheese, we asked Isabel about changing one of the budgers to chedder instead of american, she became VERY rude, saying you should have told me this when you ordered. We said we didn't realize there was an option. She said, there is and walked away and yelled at the cook to get our order to make the change. Since she is aware of the options, maybe she should have let us know the optiones when taking our order. Before taking our order she was rude to the ladies picking up a to go order when they asked to split the bill to pay. She said, you should have told me the orders were separate when ordering and gave them a mean look. I understand there is a shortage of staff, but if Isabel is that unhappy with working at your restaurant maybe she shouldn't be working with customers. OR maybe she needs to take a class on customer service. Employees like Isabel will make a difference with customers, whether or not to return to...
