We Just Move my Daughter to live In Fortsam Houston Military Base Housing 2 month Ag, So She can be closer to College. We Happend to Pass by At Seoul Food Restaurant Many times...My Daughter wanted to try this so Badly. Have been Bugging me to Eat inside So many times. So finally I Said Yes. Instead ordering for take out. She Love to Eat Korean and other Asian Food. So Anyway, Were So excited Our first Experience Here...Or should I say my first Experience here, My Daughter Was Okay. But for me, It Wasn't Pleasant, I was Ignored Ya'll ????? From Our SERVER... I was Surprised. So I'm wondering what I did Wrong To Her. She Asked us what Drink are we having, I asked for a Drink menu, which they don't have. So she said What ever Drink you feel like Tasting ????? So I said ??? What ??? I said Sprite, or Ice tea, And my Daughter say Lemonade or Fruit Punch, She Say We don't have that??? So Water it Is ??? So I change my mind and followed my Daughter to get us both water instead. When all that was said. It seemed like, She didn't like that I didn't know what drink I Wanted. It Seem like,That I was Wasting her time. So that's When all started The Ignorant. So Everytime She Pass By And Check on Us. For some reason She only look to my Daughter and Asked if she's was Okay, How She likes the Food, Is Everything Okay, But She Wouldn't Even look at me Ever. And Asked me How I Feel. Am I Invisible??? I feel like I was A little kid ??? I Have lots to Say!!! But is going to take a Couple Pages... So I'm going to keep it Simple ??? So Listend Lady, I don't Care if you were the Owner at this Restaurant or What !!! I have never been to A Restaurant or Feel like how you made me feel. You Are Rude. You Cant Be A Server, If you Can't Be Patient to Others, Wether you like The Person or Not. That's not A good Business. No one wants to Comeback to your Restaurant If you have Bad Experience, Or Your Server Have an Attitude, Have No Patients. Thats Not Welcoming !!! We were Very Excited to Go and Eat Here. We Love Korean Food...Even though One Meal is $20 For Each Person. For Just the two of Us, I Spent $70 for 3 meal. So its A little High Price. There's No Lunch Special on Weekends. Only Weekdays. We thought this is going to be our Restaurant for A long time Because my Daughter is Staying Around Here, And Loves Korean Food, But Now??? We might try Next Door 🚪Instead. Or Somewhere Else. So People Beware. Make Sure You know what to Order Before You go in and Dine In This Restaurant., And just kind a Guess What kind Drink they have??? If you know What I Mean??? They want you to be Quick, Eat, Pay, Leave. The Other Ladies Server, They were very Friendly. But This One, Don't know What her Issue with me. Just Because Of the Drink??? That was uncalled for??? Im The Kind of Person that have Alot of Respect, Patience, For Older Folks And Tipped Generously for Waitresses !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But Today ??????????? Wasn't My Day, And Her Day ???, Thank you For Reading, And Understanding My Post. Hopping I Get Better Service If I ever Decide to Go Back To Any Korean Restaurant ????? And This Wont Ever Happend to Others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Forgive Us All Thank...

Based off experience from yesterday, decided to write a review after all. Food was good, ordered 3 jjajjangmyeons and a tteokbeokki. Tteok wasn’t a lot for the amount being paid $13 compared to other Korean places. We were brought only 3 tiny sides which isn’t normal compared to how other Korean restaurants are. Our waitress made it clear she did not like us and would basically slam plates or cups on our table and huffed when we took too long to decide on what to order. Would roll her eyes and huff and puff occasionally. Didn’t really service us unless it was to bring our plates or when we went to pay. My friends n I felt very uncomfortable the whole time, especially when the waitress and whoever she was with would look to see how we ate our food and would laugh and stare us, weird but whatever. When we were paying she made it so obvious when looking to see what tip we gave her and again rolls her eyes and huffs and puffs like a spoiled child not getting her way. Tip reflects service which we were given a very rude and barely there one. When my friend gave her $6 cash tip the waitress snatched the money and tossed it onto the counter while rolling her eyes and huffing again. Same friend had written $0 tip on receipt as she paid with card and when handed back to the waitress she loudly and rudely marked the receipt with a big X showing how displeased she was before she was given the $6 cash tip and still acted like she deserved more or something. Again, I tip based off service and I didn’t even want to tip anything at all but still did. As a group of Latinos it all felt so racially motivated because when we saw another table of a white man and a Korean man they received the better service by same waitress. Even when paying and seeing another white man and Korean man come in they were treated better. In a diverse place like San Antonio, you would expect just a bit more kindness especially as minorities but I guess the white dollar means more somehow? I didn’t want to make a scene at the restaurant but will never be going there again and that waitress needs to check her attitude before someone is gonna hand it right back to her double time. Very crazy...

Been here twice. Once was about six months ago and then just last week. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious, but the service and unfriendliness of the employees makes me feel uncomfortable to dine there again. For one, I ordered "number 34" and she said for me to tell her the name of the dish, no effort to even lean in to see what it was. Is she feeling like you're superior or better than me and judging me for not trying to say the Korean name of the dish ? I don't know. So I'll read the whole paragraph I suppose. Then I noticed her stare at the food that our 1 year old made on the ground. My mom saw her do that too a second time and mentioned it to me. We eat out all the time and never see people stare at the mess like she did. Yes, we clean up after our kid and when servers tell us not to worry, we pick up the big pieces and leave an extra tip. Here, we made sure to this time to clean extra well and not have to leave an extra tip since I could practically feel her thoughts.

In general, the interactions with the employees were not friendly, and though I would say that's how they are, I did see them actually smile and talk to other diners so I assume they pick who they are friendly to.

The first time it was myself, my husband, our 3 year old and 6 month old. This time it was all of us (kids now 4 and 1), and my mother. Myself and my mom are Chinese and my husband is white, so our kids are half. I throw that in there because I don't know if they are only friendly to Koreans or regulars or families without kids or what.

Again, the food is delicious but I would not come back simply because of the lack of service. It makes me feel uncomfortable. We actually only came back because it was the first thing I googled after a long day out with the kids and I wanted good food fast.

Also, after reading the lowest and highest rated Google reviews, it seems like others also have experienced the same service while others received friendlier service. I don't care if the service is just there and not friendly, but the rude vibe is...

This place was off the chain ridiculous awesome. Was not anything what it looks like on the outside. The outside was very low key not all flashy. But when you get inside it was seriously clean all over the place restrooms super clean kitchen immaculately spotless clean and the food was off the hook! The kitchen was just closing as we got there and we were the last ones to be served and we ordered the noodle soup which was ridiculously amazing with spices and the biggest trip I've ever had and a soup anywhere. Not only was it spicy but it was very good very traditional everything was fresh nothing was rewarmed my wife and I completely loved it like completely recommended for couples if you love Asian food. There are definitely Koreans working there which is how it should be thanks additional play settings were awesome and amazing everything was spotless all the knives and spoons were wrapped and it was just great experience I can't say enough. My wife and I were completely blown away buy this little hole in the wall it is what I would call a Hidden Gem

Went for lunch after church and they were open on Sundays unlike the Koreana next door. First impressions were not well and the thought was that this is a place for Chef Robert Irvine and the Restaurant Impossible team. An older dilapidated, what appears to be, revamped Texas BBQ restaurant is now a Korean food restaurant according to the sign hanging on the door. The Korean food was great! The chicken teriyaki was not good at all. The waitress took my wife's plate to another table, the place has maybe 10 tables, so that was hard to accept. Not to mention when we first arrived there were two other tables with people besides us. If I had my choice, I would eat at the Koreana again and not this place. Once it got full with other patrons, the smoke started to burn our eyes and we then felt rushed to leave. Poor ventilation, among other things. We will not be eating here again until the theme changes, better service, and ventilation of cooking happens. It may be better by now. Hope it helps and if it does, give a thumbs up!

Alright, listen! Understandably, the outside of this building may be in need of a facelift. But don't let that deter you from going inside and having anything on the menu - all of it absolutely delicious! For anyone with a soft spot for Korean food, this restaurant will be your kryptonite. I haven't had a bad experience during any of my visits. Sure, you may have your favorite and won't care for anything else on the menu. If that's the case, then you can still go here! I'm sure you will have a good experience. I am a huge fan of Bimimbap, especially the hot pot type (not so much the cold version). And let me tell you! This restaurant knocks it out of the park! It is so good! The sizzling pot is pure joy; the warm rice is heaven; the veggies are crisp and flavorful; and the egg is perfectly cooked! Personally, I like to leave a thin layer of rice untouched at the bottom of the pot to allow it to become crispy - it's the best part!
