Used to come here frequently when I was stationed near by but haven’t been back in 4 years. Happy to say that the quality remains and the food is just as good as I remember. It tastes like you went to your friends house and their abuela was making all sorts of amazing food! We got the nachos, chicken enchiladas, puffy tacos and crispy tacos. They were all amazing and thankfully my kids needed help finishing because I didn’t want to stop eating! They serve chips and salsa which are also great and I loved their red and green sauce. Also cool that this place has been around for decades and this is our “tradition” to eat here from now on!

This place is 🔥 🔥 I took my mom here & she's usually super picky about her Mexican food. The margaritas we had were perfect! Super refreshing, no to much alcohol but enough for you feel relaxed. I had a beef fajitas plate and it was so good I ate the vegetables too. The tortillas were hand made! That's a big deal for a Mexican restaurant (at least for my family). The only thing I has a small little problem with was that there was so baby changing table in the restroom, but the over all restaurant was very family oriented. I would come back on my own and tell my friends and family about it.

After seeing the puffy tacos from here being featured in Taco Chronicles I decided to give them a shot. Only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because as other reviewers have said, the tacos do become soggy extremely fast and they fall apart. They are also very greasy so expect to get a plate dripping in fat. Both the chicken and beef filling are very tasty. The beans were the highlight of the plate. The Nonas special is very good as well.

Wow, look at the wonderful reply from the Teka Molino Restaurant where I unfortunately invited our Ft. Sam funeral service guests to, it’s astonishing their lack of customer service! I went there to eat 90 minutes before the service with several family members attending and checked-in with the manager who said the owner Ben and his son Cole were not there, however he told me that Ben had let him know I was coming in with a funeral party (so that was a lie). I was not rude (that was a lie), I was not delusional (that was a lie), I was not told about the hot patio (that was a lie), I was not aggressive (That was a lie), I was not mean (that was a lie)! It was very clear they could not accommodate us a promised, so we quietly left (who would make a scene in front of funeral guests, I was however very embarrassed and disappointed for my guests) and I have 6+ witnesses! I expected a call from the owner to apologize or a reply apologizing and giving condolences, never in my wildest dreams would I imagine an ugly, lying reply like the restaurant posted. This shows you the arrogance, bad customer service that Teka Molino restaurants offer and how the treat their customers, it’s pathetic and you can bet I’ll never step foot in that (counter service, self-service & styrofoam cup) restaurant again!

*First post: Horrible experience, I went in to meet the owner or his son in the morning prior to a Ft. Sam funeral service they had been notified about, neither were there. My mom wanted coffee, and they only have Styrofoam cups, no menus, and stand there to order at the register...the guy in charge told me he knew we had a service coming at 12:00 and he would be able to seat us...upset stomach from the carne guisada taco for 2 days...i got there 1st to organize and the lady at the counter acted like she didn't know me, the manager was no where to be found nor were the owners...our people arrived after the funeral and we were supposed to sit outside in an unconditioned breezeway (after standing outside at FSH)...this was so embarrassing, I had my doubts but they said they've pulled it off before...everyone left...I'm...

REVIEWERS: IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH A BUSINESS AND GOOGLE ASKS FOR A REVIEW, DON'T DAMAGE THE RATING WITH A FALSE REVIEW, PLEASE!!!

In a city with Tex-Mex restaurants on every corner, this was a GREAT experience! The complimentary chips we're good, and tasted freshly made. The Picante sauce was medium hot and very flavorful. The green hot sauce was excellent, and had more heat. The cheese enchiladas were very good and satisfying. My puffy beef taco was the best I've had. The real stand out for us, though, we're the refried beans and rice that came with my husband's plate. Both had a depth of flavor most restaurants don't put into these staples. The beans had a wonderful smoky flavor. The rice tasted like it used chicken stock and fresh jalapenos to add another layer of flavor. The staff were friendly, responsive and accommodating. The music was classic rock 'n roll and played at a volume that allowed conversation. This was a GREAT experience, and we will be back SOON!

UPDATE: February 16, 2018. We finally made it here for dinner, with daughter, son-in-law and Granddaughter along. Learned they serve quesos with the complimentary chips in the evening. It was delicious! My Chili Rellenos was wonderful, and the rice and refried beans were still fantastic. Three of our party had beef fajitas, and the aroma was heavenly. They pronounced them as tasty as they were fragrant! Daughter's boracho beans were good, but one or two places in town are better, according to my husband. The staff are WONDERFUL, not hovering, but always cheerful and professional in quickly satisfying any request. Of course, as usual, I couldn't eat it all, but got a to go box, and just had those leftovers for lunch. ...

So since I can't make another review of this location I'll just have to add So I'm a regular customer to both locations, I frequent this location. In about a year I would say I visit this location approximately 200 times give or take a few days. That should tell ya how delicious this establishment is , it is my go to place on the daily, lol just wish they were open on Sundays but that would be selfish of me to their outstanding employees that so much deserve a day off. So on the daily my meal consists of 2 picadillo tacos 🌮 and a LG sweet tea . It's rare that I change it up unless I bring along company. As much as I would love to give a full five stars , my one and only issue is pricing consistency. Like I said I visit 200x a year and price can go from $5 bucks to $11.50 depending on the cashier or mood of employee I guess. ( for my 2 tacos and a drink )I really wouldn't care because food is bomb and I'll still continue to come everyday. Today as I addressed the issue, employee simply just said "it is what it is " and smiled.. WOW didn't expect that.. but like he said it is what it is right ! So anyway if your looking for a Delicious restaurant this is THE SPOT .. THEIR GREEN ENCHILADAS are to die for and there picadillo tacos 🌮 well i get them everyday should tell ya 😋

I'm a regular customer, and just ordered delivery for the first time, and WOW their food is just as delicious 😋... It was hot and ordered was custom just like I ordered !! Thank you guys !! You forever...
