Iād been following the social media page of āThe Pita Chickā for about a year. Had a craving and she immediately popped in my head. Drove about 20 minutes from Stone Oak to get there and would do it over and over again. Walked up and was greeted by Rena whose spirit was so kind. Everything on the pictures looked enticing and I truly wanted to try a little of everything but by way of Renaās recommendation, I decided to go with the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and the Gyro Bites. Rena told me the food truck was her life and I felt this in every bite. The first thing I noticed was the presentation. The bowl was prepared meticulously with everything in its place. This bowl puts a lot of national chains to shame. The freshness, quality and brilliant pairing of the ingredients left me speechless. I was so amazed at the love put into this bowl. I intend to return for certain and will never try another chain for a bowl again as long as Iām in San Antonio. It doesnāt matter how far from you she is, itās worth the drive to give her a try! Youāll definitely be visiting to eat this bow of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was spectacular. I 9nce got an order of her hummus, but I wasn't able to eat any of it until the next day. Unassumingly, I placed it in the fridge until my appetite came back to me, and then when it did, I was blindsided with hummus that was better than I had ever tasted in my life. A bold claim, I agree, but my taste buds would defend it to the death of me. The pita chips, now devoid of warmth, were still just as addicting, only because I tried everything fresh the next week, and know this to be true. Also, I tried it without chicken, which by itself too, would have been a culinary delight. The tanginess of the hummus, the succulent chicken, the perfectly seasoned pita chips, how could this get any better. Well, the garlic sauce, just happens to take this simple, yet complex dish, over the top. I mean, here I am telling you how good the hummus is, when there's a whole menu full of amazing food. It lives up to the hype, you can taste the heart in her food. If my words seem too bold, I beg you to try it for yourself, and tell...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDeceived in the best of ways, I got it two days straight! I tried the chicken and steak shawarma pita wraps as meals that came with a drink and their seasoned fries.
Looks are deceiving because the wraps appear small-portioned but it's literally big Bertha hiding. A lover for Mediterranean food and I'd say these are the best wraps I've had. The meat, both chicken and steak, are seasoned perfectly and cooked well enough that it remains juicy including the vegetables and sauce- I didn't need any sauce on the side but I definitely needed napkins :) no subs or anything removed needed loved it as is!
Rana's kind service also made it such an amazing experience, her confidence in her food proved me right in trusting her opinion on what to get for the first time. Def my first choice when I decide to get something quick while out (I get it under 10 min), I don't even think Cava is a...
