Update 7/28/24: I resubmitted my complaint I did get a call back a month after the incident. Spoke to Amber, area manager she said the rule was a throwback to covid, and they allow refills for the Styrofoam cups and it does not make since to not allow a Yeti cup they sell to not be used. She apologized and said the restaurant has been retrained and I should not have an issue in the future.
Stopped in this location on Sunday 6/23/24 about 2pm I ordered a patty melt combo meal I brought my $50 Whataburger Yeti Tumbler and was advised I had to use their foam cup if I wanted to use the fountain drink. I should have asked for a refund for the yeti and the food I was mad. Bill Millers, Circle K, QT don't have problems with customer cups and fountain refills. The idea of using your own cup, and even one sold by Whataburger is to avoid using those styrofoam cups that are bad for the environment. This looks like a PR nightmare if the news organizations pick up this story. I eat Whataburger 2-3 times a week I will stop eating there until I get some type of apology either for selling me a cup I cant use at Whataburger or making a silly rule that makes no since. Read moreThe only best whataburger in my whole neighborhood and I always come here for the banana pudding shake and one patty whataburger with no onions and mustard and add mayo and don’t forget the ketchup! Their ketchup are the best in the south so I like to tear my burger in bite sizes and dip in the ketchup container and slam in my mouth 😝 every thing is alll good except I had to wait like 10 mins to be acknowledged even I was sitting on the bench in front of the cash register even no long lines around 11 pm there were like 10 high schoolers working around the kitchen and didn’t see me until one person asked me if I placed my order and I said “YES” and told my name and he went looking for the order and found it in the warmer box so finally I said thank you and went on my way! I wish the assistant manager train the high schoolers some customer service cuz they will need it in the future or else they won’t have the courage to speak for themselves when important things comes up in their future so please next time acknowledge me when I arrived to the counter so this is the third time again 😒 so at least my food is warm by the time I got home and ate it...
