I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Chick-fil-A in San Bernardino (4312 N Varsity Ave) due to the lack of respect and inconsistency in how they handle military discounts.
When I went through the drive-thru, the employee, Kaleen, seemed confused when I asked about a military discount. She incorrectly stated that I had to be in uniform and present my Common Access Card (CAC) in order to receive one. This response was not only inaccurate but completely unreasonable. I have never encountered such a requirement at any other Chick-fil-A location.
To clarify, I parked and went inside to ask again. While I was greeted normally, I couldn’t ignore the fact that I was being stared at uncomfortably, as if I did something wrong. When I asked about the uniform requirement, another employee confirmed that the previous information was incorrect and that only police officers had such a rule. While I appreciated the correction, it was clear that this location lacks proper training and consistency when it comes to supporting service members.
When I placed my order, I expected at least a 10% military discount, which is standard at many locations. Instead, I received a minimal $7.48 discount on an $80.72 order… far from a meaningful acknowledgment of military service. In stark contrast, the Chick-fil-A in Palm Desert offers a 50% discount to service members, demonstrating a genuine commitment to supporting the military.
It is disheartening to see this level of disregard for service members at a company that prides itself on strong values. This experience made it clear that this Chick-fil-A does not properly support or appreciate its military customers. The inconsistent policies, lack of training, and dismissive attitude toward service members are unacceptable.
I will not be returning to this location and would encourage other service members to take their business elsewhere, to places that truly honor and appreciate...
Read moreThere was literally a bite missing from my sandwich when I opened up the box 👀 I opened up the box, poured my fries and sauce on the flip side like I always do and when I went to pick up my sandwich I was like wth? I have never ever had this happen anywhere in my life! This was my third visit to this newer chick fil a! The first the fries were stale, the second the food was completely fine, but this time literally a bite missing. I’m sure I just ruined management’s day there, but I just had to report this. Wild 👀
Changed my service rating from 5 to 1 because when we took it back they didn’t even offer to comp the one sandwich we took back on our time and gas dime
Rechanged my ratings to reflect that the operations manager did reach out to us to address the incident. He looked through the video footage and although he did not see anyone take a bite of the sandwich, he did say it could have been a handling issue. To be fair when I first saw the sandwich from the top view it looked like a pinch not a bite.
I’m so glad the manager reached out, it totally changed my perspective and eased all frustration. Awesome job chick fil a, Josiah...
Read moreHello Chick- fil-A, let me be the first to welcome u, I prayed for one to come to my city lol! Yay , can’t wait to try it since Redlands’s was our favorite spot. I will come back and update my review once I visited 🦋🌑🌑🦋
Update: I finally visited chic fil a last week! I really liked how they set it up, it looks really nice and professional! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a hello and welcome. I didn’t even think I was in San Bernardino lol. Everyone was so kind and all smiles. I even asked a worker if I can record the kids play area while no one was in for my review and they said it wouldn’t be a problem and for me to have wonderful day! I obviously order from my app so the wait time was minimal. It only took me a while to visit because I was taking pictures and recording the new chic fil a which was exciting to see. I am so happy it finally made it to our side of town! See you next time and thanks to all the chic fil a team for being kind...
