Aqua Club — Restaurant in San Bruno

The desserts here are AMAZING! Aqua Club has become my hands down favorite, go to place, when I want to treat myself.

So far, I have had the waffle cup in the peanut butter, chocolate, strawberry and banana. I have also had the strawberry mousse and the chocolate mousse.

All are so delightful.

The strawberry mousse is my favorite. Its light, smooth, creamy, delicate and just lightly sweet.

Both the chocolate waffle and mousse are very rich in flavor. Both are perfect for someone who really loves chocolate. Like explosions of it! If you dont absolutely love chocolate it may be too much for you. The strawberry waffle cup is so good with the fresh and warm mochi waffle and the fresh strawberry ice cream. I even saved the ice cream for another day and it was equally delicious a couple days later. The others I just tasted but are good as well. The banana wasnt my favorite but its good and fresh tasting. It does not taste like an artificial banana flavor. With that said it almost seemed like the bananas used were not ripe enough or something. The banana flavor was almost a little too mild. The peanut butter waffle cup was delightful. The mochi waffle was smeared with ooey-gooey, melty, peanut butter and was perfectly paired with vanilla Gelato. I'd personally like to add some chocolate to it but it's perfectly enjoyable as is without being over the top sweet.

I cant wait to come back as there are several other things I am dying to try.

The people that work there are just ok. They aren't rude but not particularly nice. Just not smiling and don't look happy to ve there. However, it's the treats that keep me wanting to come back.

Recommendations: Get a waffle cup and paired gelato without hesitating. Every option on the menu is well through your and all of the individual components are fantastic as well.

As soon as you enter it smells like freshly baking chocolate chip cookies. The customer service is ver courteous and energetic, with an offer of hot tea to every guest. Not just any tea, but hot, fresh fragrant and aromatic jasmine green tea.

There can be a short line, but your order gets taken quickly. Unless you order waffles your food comes out quickly.

The gelato is wonderful, creamy and generous scoops! My personal favorite is the Tahitian Vanilla, but I can wholeheartedly endorse the Espresso and Banana Caramel.

Banana Caramel not caramel and banana, but caeamelized banana. very different. acquired taste. overripe bananas caramelized slowly. light alcoholic and sweetish bitter taste. personally love. but not be fan for everyone. You can tell real bananas by fibers preston throughout ice cream

Tahitian Vanilla excellent! vanilla flavor su naturals . can be a little creamier. Not too sweet. great for those who enjoy vanilla, and don’t like excessively sweet desserts and ice cream

Espresso Light espresso flavor, milk chocolate shards evenly distributed. Nice play of bitter, sweet, creamy...

I can now fully understand why my friends rave about this place and continue to go out of their way to come here just for dessert.

The mango sago is probably their most popular drink (especially for those with a sweet tooth). For myself. I just found out that I can order for it to be less sweet next time. Which I intend to do (maybe 80%).

The banana mochi waffle comes in a pretty big size, so you could share!! It has three waffles and a good scoop of banana ice cream. Their ice cream even tastes like banana! It blew my mind. I also heard from the cashier / hostess that they do intend to make their own ice cream in the near future. Yey!

What makes this place super special is the ever friendly and helpful cashier / hostess. She comes by to deliver your drink / dessert and even stays a bit to chat awhile. When I mentioned my friends rave about the waffle, she remembered and asked about that topic. I also saw her talking to small children and asking their parents / sibling if she could give them a lollipop. It was sweet.
