Sweet Connections Ice Cream — Restaurant in San Bruno

Located at the southern end of San Mateo Ave (The Ave), this ice cream shop is very cozy, serving delicious Lappert's Hawaiian ice cream, which I had never heard of before. And it was the first time to Sweet Connections for my grandson and myself.

I bought my 7 year old grandson a scoop of rocky road and strawberry. He liked the strawberry better. My grandson said he liked the shop, too. He said it was nice.

Afterwards, taking my hand, little Ricky said he loved me and asked if we could come back and try a couple of other flavors. Since it was raining outside, my adorable grandson didn't notice the tears in my eyes as I said yes to him, that we will come...

So grateful to have found Sweet Connections! My toddler has multiple food allergies, and it’s rare to find a place that goes above and beyond like this. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating—they double-checked every single ingredient just to make sure everything was safe for him. 💛

He ended up having the Dole Whip and shaved ice, both of which were absolutely delicious and allergy-safe. He was so happy—it meant the world to us.

I loved this place! Not a cookie cutter place but something special. The owner Bell brings a warm and peace to the place. Cute place. It had a real community vibe. Lots of selection but I highly suggest the Korean Bingsaa. It is this flash frozen cream flakes with different flavorings. It is a different texture and flavor than regular ice cream.
