Barnoa Wine Company — Restaurant in San Clemente

Wow, such a huge bummer! Normally such a great experience at this restaurant, tonight they were way, way off their game. I asked for a burger to be rare with no tomato it came well-done with tomato, the brioche bun was not fresh at all. They were completely out of carrot cake dessert by 8 o’clock, our salads came without dressing. Normally such a great experience but tonight definitely not what we expect. We certainly understand everyone’s coming back from this pandemic but this evening was a real disappointment with reservations next week that I will have to rethink. Owner was out chatting to clients he recognized while blatantly ignored the rest of us. Everyone gets things can be wonky coming back but the ignorance of management coupled with mediocrity in food quality is no bueno. A note to ownership-ALL tables deserve a hello and how are things going whether you recognize them or not. There are plenty of us who are regulars, clearly not your personal friends that are fully ignored and not for the first time I might add. Tried to support this small business bringing new friends who have not eaten here....

My girlfriend and I went to Barnoa in the evening, during the week. The wine selection is decent, the service wasn't bad and the food was very good for a wine bar. More food selections than the average wine bar with charcuterie or cheese plates. They have live music, while the live music was good, for a small place it threw off the ambiance, causing the people in the place to try and talk over the music.
