Wow. Ten stars. 🌟 The owner Amrit and their manager Araz and the entire staff are so kind. They helped us host a surprise birthday and accommodated our very large party and hosted us like family in their home. Their food was delicious and was made with so much love. It was obvious that the owner is also the amazing head chef. The quality of the Indian food here is unparalleled for all of southern California. It is rare to find such authentic Indian food anywhere. But beyond the food, they run this restaurant like they are inviting you into their own home. The kindness and care for our guests was unbelievable. One guest who was elderly tripped and fell and broke many plates…but the manager and servers quickly attended to the gentleman and made sure he was okay. They didn’t even think about or mention the mess that was made in the event. What a wonderful place and wonderful staff. For anyone who visits - Be patient with these guys. They are amazing and are doing an excellent job at keeping up with the demand for their authentic food. They’re still pretty new so we hope to see them grow and become even more successful. Thank you for a...
Read moreI didn't know i could LOVE indian food until i visited Kiaan's. Oh my good gravy..... So tasty!!! I do not do spicy AT ALL so appealing to my taste buds can be challenging. Amrit couldn't have been more accommodating and assured me i would be happy. He was right. The chicken curry was my favorite. It was so creamy and smooth and delicious. The naan was perhaps the best i have had...loaded with butter and garlic flavors. The service could not be more excellent; the perfect mix of friendly and prompt and so comfortable. I know the restaurant is owner/ family operated and the attention to detail and care shows. Fine dining complete with white tablecloths and napkins. So very elegant and yet pricing was so reasonable!! I know they are now open 7 days a week and i cannot wait to come back with my husband! Such a wonderful addition to Talega in San...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to having some good Desi food after a week of eating mostly American fast food. We even drove an hour to get to this place, hoping it would be worth it. Unfortunately, it was a big letdown.
We ordered the butter chicken, Lamb and the meat was undercooked and tough – not what you’d expect from a dish that’s supposed to be rich and flavorful. It completely ruined the experience.
Just a week ago, we tried another Asian restaurant in Bakersfield, and the food there was fantastic. It’s clear that whoever is cooking here either doesn’t understand traditional Desi flavors or is cutting corners.
As someone with a Desi background, I can say this meal did not meet basic expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for...
