Ricos Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Clemente

This is an outstanding quick service Mexican food restaurant with authentic flavors and tastes of Mexico. It reminds me of some of the better street taco restaurants in Baja Mexico. The carne asada is delicious. The preparation of the fish tacos is outstanding. The veggie burritos are absolutely delicious. The taquitos are hot, crispy and not oily. The green salsa is delicious. We've been to the restaurant about four times now and the food quality has been great and consistent every time. The staff there are friendly and professional. It can take a few minutes from the time that you submit your order until it's ready. I recommend calling your order in just before you drive down there if you want your for when you get there. There is very limited seating, just a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. The decor isn't anything fancy or elaborate, but everything looks pretty clean. Come check this place out. I AM OBSESSED! Rico's moved into our neighborhood not too long ago and we have been regulars ever since. I don't typically leave reviews but they deserve it. We have NEVER had a bad meal here or had to drive back for something they left out. Everything we order is fresh and delicious and the staff is super accommodating. I've been in during breakfast service and they've made me whatever I was craving. In fact we love them so much we had them cater a party for us. A couple weeks ago we were at the burger joint next door and I stepped into Rico's to check it out. It smelled really good so today I finally got a chance to try this relatively new addition to the neighborhood . The menu is pretty simple but the food is simply EXCELLENT. Really tasty and generous portions. Friendly, welcoming folks behind the counter too. For $23 I got an Al Pastor quesadilla, Chicken Taquitos, Chips & Guac AND a Mexican Coke.
