I would say the location is nice and clean. The staff are friendly and were helpful when I had an issue with an order. But for this being called a noodle and dumpling place, the ramen was subpar. I ordered the tonkotsu and the broth was bland and had little to no flavor. The noodles were stuck together. If you have never had ramen don't try it here. The shoyu egg was decent. The pork was decent. But overall the centerpiece of the ramen the broth was not good it was food that's it. I also got potstickers and while the breading was thicker and done better than most iv seen they were just okay decent. For the price I paid 9.50 for a small bowl about 3 cups worth including the broth, and 6.50 for 5 potstickers that were average size, it was not worth the money. Iv had ramen from quite a few places. Iv had it on the east and west coast and Japan itself. From Okinawa and mainland. I also make cheap homade ramen that is better than this. The only reason I didn't leave 1 star is because the staff are nice and the location is nice and clean. If you want good ramen don't go here honestly it's the worst i've had.(edit) From what I see this restaurant is bad now since it was fairly new when I went. If you want good ramen find somewhere else. If you never had ramen please don't try it here it's no represented good here at all. For all that I'm changing my review...
Ā Ā Ā Read morevery disappointing dining experience - we ordered Tomo ramen, katsu bowl, steam chicken dumplings. Tomo ramen was 4/10 - edible. Just a little better than instant ramen in a cup. Better because there were two pieces of char siu park and the egg was decent. Katsu bowl was 0.5/10. It was a bowl of rice with frozen veggies (soggy carrots and green beans, veggies that would never been served with a katsu bowl). Rice was sub par, sticking together. The katsu has nearly no meat, all batter. The sauce is something along the lines of spicy sweet ketchup. The dumplings came as a dish of 3 sad soggy dumplings that were flavorless without soy sauce.
I feel bad writing such at terrible review since the employees were so nice.
Whoever was doing the purchasing should get better dumplings. The bowls were inedible and really really be reinvented. Ramen...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOver cooked noodles and a thin soup. Tongkatsu? More like a paitan. Customer service was subpar and the restaurant was pretty cluttered with personal belongings and random inventory. The only reason for āļøāļø is because the price isnāt too high. $12 for the bowl in a great location. I hope they figure it out but who I thought might be the owner doesnāt seem to care much. Definitely not going back. Iām on a ramen hunt and this place is cutting every possible corner in ramen. Seems a notch above instant ramen or maybe even instant ramen with some decent toppings. My wife got the katsu but her rice was like paste. Way overcooked. The chicken itself was the star of the entire meal. If your already in the area and want some cheap ramen, get your own opinion. You never know it could have been an off day but the reviews are...
