I find it ironic with the current state of HVAC in all these new clubs, dance halls, gastropubs, etc that yet again I wound up at AC Lounge. As we all know some of the biggest downfalls of places is their ventilation. Hot, humid, sweaty and not in the good way. All the new clubs have this issue Bang Bang, Fluxx, Voyeur, Bassment, Tipsy Crow, etc. Notice I always end up here. It's never been my plan in all these years to go and check this place out, but each vitis as a fall back to a plan B squared it's the Denny's in that regards of the University Heights Scene. AC is not the issue here.
I prefer my weeknight meanderings or rendezvous with locals to the weekend rage sessions of the whole Saturday bottle service experience. I don't like coming here with large groups or when it's crowded because too often there is no separation of bar and dance floor, plus you have to walk all the way through the floor to get to the bathroom. I like to order my drink and in good form drink elsewhere versus belly up like so many people do and all too often there will be some drunk couple bumping into bar patrons and to me that's unacceptable..
I find the drink prices to be cheap like V&T, R&C, etc. Beers are what you'll pay for as they do carry drinks like Spaten. The bottle service is pretty reasonable even if the tables are sunken. They don't have all the fancy lighting and machines other places do, but the DJ's are apparently local talent I don't recognize, you get the DMV gamut of party animals here so beware on weekends.
Service is good as in good bartenders for the basics, don't look for the PP experience from across the street. The bathrooms are a little janky and what's with the weird guy hanging out there. Design is unassuming from the outside, but this is all post big sonic chill days now. Actually coming to PP actually re-acquainted my with AC again after a long lay off of a few years. It's not overly loud, especially at the bar where a conversation can be had. I prefer the crowds of other places, but sometimes the cheap bottle calls to me.
If your going to come with a posse, get a booth and bottle, but no need on the much less crowded weeknights. I never quite understood the décor. James Bond wasn't the...
Read moreMy business partners and I at UpDate Social recently had the pleasure of hosting a speed dating event at Air Condition Lounge, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience!
The ambiance at Air Conditioned Lounge in North Park is simply perfect for any event, but especially for something as intimate and exciting as speed dating. The décor is chic yet cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere that helped everyone feel comfortable and at ease. The Glampisphere outdoor patio area was a hit with our guests, offering a stylish setting that truly set the tone for a memorable night.
The management team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive to every detail, from the setup to the timing, allowing us to focus on the participants and the event itself. The service was friendly, efficient, and always with a smile. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how nice the place was set up.
Overall, they exceeded my expectations in every way. We’re going to continue to plan our next event here!
Thank you, Air Conditioned Lounge, for making our speed dating night an...
Read moreGreat service, bartender was very sweet. Loved the music and vibe. Only thing that I was concerned about and wanted to see if anyone else had a similar situation was I got an espresso martini and like half way through I noticed my lips and tounge started burning, I made sure I had someone else try it and they agreed while the drink itself wasn't spicy it ended up leaving almost like a burning/pepper burn on lips mostly, I'm not sure if they used the wrong syrup or the glassware wasn't clean but it really caught me off guard. I didn't say anything in the moment because I didn't know if it was just me at the time. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but made me nervous for sure.
Edit: the response from the owner was spectacular, changing my review to 5 star and I'll...
