My first class went amazing. I was pretty nervous about trying my first Pilates class and I didn't even know what I was picking. I didn't even know what a reformer was and we ended up getting to use it during our math class for a little bit and now that I get a taste of both it really helps me understand what I want and don't want out of my workout so having our instructor add a little bit really solidified that I do want to come back again and they're really really accommodating with your baby so it is advertised for you to work out with your baby and that's what drew me to even get class pass this was the only class I was going to join anyway so I would have been disappointed if it didn't work out but it really did for the first class I'm going to try a couple more times but so far for class number one I really like it The only caveat you should know is that you have to pay for parking if you come around the Friday 10:00 a.m. or sorry Friday 11:00 a.m. it looks like the security person was checking everything. Overall I definitely liked it they provide water they provide diapers they provide areas for your babies to sit they even give mats for your babies to sit on if they're next to you while you're working out you could be close the instructor help some people hold their babies if they were fussy overall the customer experience level I would say is pretty outstanding again I have to probably try a couple more times but overall I definitely like what I experienced so far as a first-timer.
Update: I have gone to about 5 classes now and genuinely enjoy it. It is a small class, around 5 moms & their baby(ies) and the instructor. I plan on doing more when more...
Read moreI just found this studio in the past week and I have been to three different but amazing classes. All instructors are really caring and ask about how you are feeling throughout the class. They’re great at suggesting modifications, and it just feels like a really comfortable place because they know what is safe to do, as well as what alleviates common pains. (But also, my classes have had a good mix of not pregnant, pregnant, and postpartum people in them, so truly anyone is welcome.) I feel really lucky that this studio exists when I really need it!!
Prenatal Yoga with Alyssa - this was my first class at OBB and it was a really nice welcome to the OBB studio and community. Alyssa was a wonderful instructor, and led a really soothing yoga practice.
Power Yoga with Jamie - was a little more fast pace than my first yoga but a great balance of challenge while still feeling comfortable.
Classical Semi- Private Pilates with Katie - this was the most challenging of the classes I have tried so far and I loved it. It felt really good to work arms, legs, etc in a small class size with...
Read moreI took the baby massage class with my 4 month old taught by Jaime and it was an amazing experience!
Firstly, Jamie is a gem! She is so calm and patient and gives excellent instructions, explanations and encouragement throughout. She genuinely cares about the people learning from her and their little ones!
The massage instructions from Jamie were very easy to understand, follow, and remember. I use the leg and tummy massages daily with my somewhat colicky baby and they help a great deal. She enjoys the leg and feet massages a lot (who wouldn't?!)
What I really appreciated was that Jamie accommodates and makes adjustments based on how the baby is behaving (or not!) that day, which was very helpful. She reads the babys cues and makes suggestions for alterations accordingly.
Overall, I absolutely recommend Jamie's program if you're looking for ways to relax and connect with...
