Busy Bee Cafe — Restaurant in San Diego

Besides the food: no one wants to accept anything edible from a lady with coffin nails: that is an absolute gross oversight for food industry standards. Long nails like that are harboring stuff from all week long 🤢 And yes, we did leave after eating because of belly aches.

The double patty burger is necessary because each patty is as thick as a double slice of cheese. Neither makes it half way across the bun, so its really misleading: it takes two of these patties to comprise a whole patty and its still a meager and flavorless one at that.

There was even some tiny, hard, colorless spots that my son kept spitting out. What is going on here?

It has bacon on it, but it is so thick and hard that it was inedible. I doubt they will offer bacon for long with the CA price jump that is expected on the pork industry. While the thickness looked appetizing, the texture made it useless.

The shoestring fries are not greasy, but lack any flavor. There were enough on the side if just one burger for an entire family though.

The pickles were the best part, as they tasted more like zingy homemade ones vs the jarred stuff at the store.

Overall, I wouldn't stop again for the menu items :(

I'm not a fan of sweets, but the cake pops were expert level, so I expect that the kids will want one to finish every back to this side of...

Food is ok, but the service here is subpar and the staffs here are rude and unprofessional. I purchased two combos and 3 kids meal for my family, while waiting for the food to come, I went back in to get a refill for my refillable cup purchased at the zoo, waited in line just like everybody else, but but when it’s my turn, the cashier glanced at me and skipped me and started asking the lady behind me what she want, like I was never there. It’s a Monday and it’s not very busy, the lady behind me was the last in line, and I had two woodpile in front of me before my turn, and there are two other staffs standing there with their head down and doing nothing. After another 5 mins, one of the other staff finally came looked at me again and saying we will help you with your refill in a minute…I guess if you have purchased your food, and paid, your other needs, like the refill, becomes the secondary priority to them, and they’d rather do nothing than helping you with a 20...

I’m sitting here next day and didn’t want to forget to post my review. Now the service was horrible. The first two people were decently nice but the guy working the register? I think his name was John. HORRIBLE. Didn’t crack one smile and in fact looked disgusted with everyone, he even went to take the beeper out of my 6 year old’s hand couldn’t bother to ask her for it- but that’s beside the fact.. the food?? The food was incredible! We had the pizza, honey siracha wings, shoestring fries, and a fruit cup with yogurt. Absolutely delicious.
