Expensive mediocrity.
Ridiculously, Carl's Jr. asked for this review. They had a cardboard stand-up sign that said, "Tell us about your experience." I scanned the QR code, and it took me directly to Google Review. You would think if they wanted your input, it would be internal. This is incredibly stupid. To be more specific about my experience: The people at the counter were not particularly attentive or helpful. They walked past my daughter twice without saying hello, or someone will be right with you. I ordered a breakfast biscut sandwich for $4,50 and didn't notice until I sat down to eat that they were 2 for 6 on a big sign in the window. The menu screens kept changing, which made it hard to follow. We ordered a large coffee and a large lemonade, and we're given smaller cups, and when I questioned it, I was told they only had one size. The food took more than a few minutes to get out, and the buiscut was salty and the sausage flavorless. There was a lot of kitchen equipment stored on the enclosed outdoor patio. Something that is a serious health code violation and could shut a restaurant down if not fixed within 3 days. I spent $19.19 on this lousy breakfast at this poorly run establishment, and after my origially short review, I got this response: Response
from the owner Joseph, we strive for attentive service with delicious food, but it sounds like you didn’t experience that. Please help us to learn more about your visit by copying/pasting this link into your web bro...
My response is: No, you don't strive for attentive service with delicious food. You don't strive for anything. You are a shoddily run fast food company with ridiculously overpriced mediocre food and poor service who can't even figure out how to get constructive input from your customers. An experience like this doesn't happen accidentally or randomly. Look at your other reviews. It starts with who you hire, how you train, how you pay, and support your staff and the culture you create. The best advice I can give you is to have all of your top executives get a note pad and pen and go sit inside an In n' Out Burger for an hour. Their business is a 10, and yours is a 2. Even your response was mediocre. The link you gave took me to a response bot. I mean, the name of the 3rd party company asking the far too many questions had bot right in it. What exactly is wrong with the people who run...
Read moreI had a bad expirience before where they usually mess up with my orders but, today 11/06/17 was the worse. I went through the drive through then l ordered two hamburger combos. I paid my order it was about $19 bucks the young guy asked me if l wanted any ketchup, ranch or barbecue sauce. I said just ketchup and, barbecue sauce please. He gave me 6 ketchups so, I asked him for more he looked at me like if he didn't wanted to give me any more. So, l asked him if it was an extra charge for more ketchup he said no then he said I ALREADY GAVE YOU MORE THEN ENOUGH BUT, I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU MORE. I just couldn't believe what his replied was, l tough it was unppropriate, and rude for him to even said that to a CUSTOMER.. l asked him if he was the manager he said no, she is inside. l knew he wasn't the manager l was just being sarcastic since he had the nerves to talked to me in that kind of tone of voice. Then l asked him what was his name and, he replied ROLANDO. l said OK ROLANDO GOOD TO KNOW... l parked my car and, l went inside Immediately with the food bag in my hand. I requested to talk to the manager then there she comes this lady presented her self as the manager. I explained her the issue regarding one of her enployees named Rolando the only thing she said was l am sorry l would talk to him.. l wasn't even expecting a courtesy drink for the Inconvenience but, she didn't even offered anything. I was in a rush to go otherwise l would of asked for my money back and, leave their hamburgers in the counter..I WOULDN'T RECOMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.. YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU GOT WHAT YOU ORDERED CAUSE, THEY FRENQUENLY MESS UP...
Read moreWaffles and chicken have a great thing going. You’ve got the ever so saltiness and crunch of hot, fried chicken mingling with the sweetness and soft texture of syrup-covered waffles. Together, they bathe the palate in sweet and salty goodness. It’s the food version of a scoop of salted caramel ice cream. On paper, it sounds weird, but in practice? It’s a party for the mouth. I myself am a big chicken and waffle person, I’m a little torn on this sandwich. On one hand, the flavor is there. Carl’s Jr knocked it out of the park with their new fried chicken breast filet, which tastes just like their excellent hand-breaded tenders. It’s crunchy with notes of garlic powder, white pepper, and a dash of onion with subtle hints of smokey paprika with a thick juicy filet of chicken inside that didn’t taste dry or overcooked. But the waffle section of the sandwich leaves a little to be desired. What makes chicken and waffles so great is that you can control how much of the saltiness you let intermingle with the sweetness. Maybe you just want syrup touching the chicken skin, but not any of the meat — so you eat with the aim of achieving that effect. A sando takes away that level of control. The waffle “bun” and chicken are brushed with Maple Butter Glaze (which is definitely a corn syrup sauce, not actual maple syrup) and it’s just way sweet and tends to overpower the bird, giving the whole sandwich a...
