First of all the chicken 🐔 AND 🐠 fish are delish ! I don’t know how I miss reviewing this restaurant. I have been there numerous times and every time the customer service is a fantastic. I’m talking about coming around the counter to hand you your food in your bag. I have been to both locations now Hillcrest, and the other location, located in 99 Ranch off Claremont Mesa Boulevard. Now the one on Claremont Mesa Boulevard has different options than the Hillcrest location. Claremont has fried butterfly shrimp, fish fillets, and their version of salt and pepper chicken tenders. I normally just get the fish fillet and potato wedges extra extra done. I am perfectly happy with that order and then I happen to go into 99 Ranch and I noticed that they have a location there. So today I went in and I got six piece salt and pepper chicken tenders. It’s some more of a Korean chicken taste than your normal salt and pepper chicken. It’s still super delicious super moist very fresh like you have to have a “cup of calm down” because they’re so hot. You can’t eat them immediately or your mouth will pay for it ( in a good way). They also have an option of a honey butter biscuit at that location. It reminds me a lot of a softer version of the churches chicken honey butter biscuit. It’s really good.! Again I can’t say enough about the customer service. They’re always kind and efficient at any location that I’ve gone to. You definitely get your moneys worth there. I only got one chicken tender because it’s so big and a few of the potato wedges and you’re full! Do yourself a favor and check them out you won’t be...

I previously gave this place a 5-star review, but my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the family deal through the app for pickup, hoping it would be ready when I arrived. I placed the order 20 minutes before getting there, but when I arrived, it still wasn’t ready. I had noted my preferred sides in the app, but they asked me again in person—not a big deal, just a bit unorganized.

After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I received the order, but I noticed there were no drinks included. The app clearly stated the family deal includes 3 drinks, and the in-store menu says the same. When I asked about it, the person who I believe is the owner told me the online version of the deal doesn’t come with drinks. This was confusing since I’ve ordered it before and drinks were always included.

At first, we walked away, but it didn’t sit right with us—especially since we’ve been regular customers. We went back and did receive the drinks, but the whole situation made me feel uncomfortable. It shouldn’t take that much effort to get what was advertised.

To top it off, when we got home, the chicken was bland and lacked seasoning. I would suggest fixing the app or discontinuing it if it’s not working properly. This experience definitely left a bad impression. The reason for my 1 star is because I feel like I was being played/ripped off just...

I went to this tiny, hidden, establishment on a whim. I love fried chicken and Cluck 'n' Sip had a M-F, $7.99 lunch Special which caught my eye, 2 pieces, 1 side, and a drink. These days that's a great price for a lunch so in I went. Cluck 'no Sip was very clean inside and had about 8 tables. The young lady who took my order was very nice and knew about the different items they had. Which nowadays is quite surprising. In any event I received 2 Large pieces of chicken, a leg and a thigh. And when I say Large I mean LARGE. NOT those wingsized pieces that they claim are Large at the more popular, well known, and Much More Expen$$$ivve fast food chicken joints. I also got a decent sized side of jambalaya, a piece of maple buttered toast, and a drink It Was Delicious! The chicken was lightly battered and fried perfectly. Not greasy at all. The jambalaya was spicy without being So spicy that it detracted from the flavor of your chicken, and the toast was really tasty. They also offer about 10 different dipping sauces. I tried the Hillcrest dip which was spicy but Not Too. Cluck 'no Sip also has sandwiches, chix tenders and some really good specials that they offer throughout the week. Do yourself a favor and seek out this new, great tasting fried chicken spot. You will Not be disappointed I Will Definitely be going back...

While vacationing in San Diego, I saw the incredible reviews this place had and knew I needed to check for myself. We ordered the 4 pcs spicy tenders, 2 pcs tenders (regular), cluckin classic sandwich, potato wedges, jambalaya rice, mac n cheese, and they provided us a free szechuan salad to try if we wrote a review (this is the fulfillment of that promise). The tenders are meaty, lightly breaded, and uniquely flavored. The spicy tenders weren't very spicy, and better than the regular tenders. The cluck sandwich was better than the tenders, and next time I'll try the wings. The potato wedges are by far the best side - they're hearty and well seasoned. The jambalaya was dry and flavorless, and I didn't care for the mac & cheese. The szechuan salad was solid and refreshing. The employees were incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient. I had my four young children, and they asked for the bathroom key half a dozen times. The employees never once acted annoyed. I'd eat here again simply because of the service.

I'm disappointed with this place. It has amazing reviews, and I don't ever want to knock on small business because I think it's very important. I'm also a pretty easy chicken lover type of guy like I will love most chicken that I consume, but this place just didn't hit right for some reason. First, the chicken was so lightly breaded that by the time it got to me as you can see in the picture it was more or less just a piece of lightly breaded, kind of somewhat soggy chicken. The sweet and spicy sauce was not very good either, so I basically just had the barbecue sauce, and that was whatever. The seasoning on the chicken and the french fries was also something somewhat unique and so maybe it's just my palate, so this review is really just from my palate and maybe the seasoning and everything else will fit someone else. Just not for me. I did also get delivery so it could have just been a thing of time in container. But, I think that would be remedied if it was fried better
