I went to the BIG 5 located at 8145 Mera Mesa San Diego and I have to say my experience was awful. I went to buy training ammunition for my personal training firearm and they charged 179.99 dollars per box (box size 7.5 and another box size 8) I bought two so that was 359.98 dollars. I was a bit skeptical so I asked around for the price and I found people who specialize in selling this stuff and they told me that it was 75. dollars per box and when I told them that I bought each box for 179.99 dollars they told me that I got scammed for 209 dollars plus tax and these are training bullets so they should not have cost that much either way. So I went to return them but they told me that their policy does not allow me to return the items, so I asked them why did they not inform me about their policy, to begin with, or where is it so I could have read it for myself. They said that their policy is on the wall and the girl at the register Brittany who was very rude to me, pointed at a piece of paper that was about 5 centimeters with a font that is smaller than what the eye can see and said that paper is their policy. Now I am pretty old so my eyes don’t work as well to see it let alone read it, so I said why did you not tell me to at least read your policy and then they replied with “its part of our policy to not tell you to read our policy”. This is the friendliest place in town. The manager is a fun person to talk to. She showed me all the air rifles and explained them to me in detail. She knew every part. When I made my decision, she went in the back to get it, but it was gone. She called around until she found one, and then went to that store after work and picked it up, she called me and said I could pick it up at my store. I never experienced such service and dedication. I would tell you more about her experience with products of the manly nature (guns) but San Diego is a town that has no men, just scared little boys and I don't want anyone crying themselves to sleep tonight. Anyway until Gaven shuts this place down, you really should check out the hunting and fishing products. They are top of the line, and the people here really know their stuff. I'll shop here over Bass Pro. And Cabellas doesn't have anything of better quality. I had the worst experience there in the shoes department. I was passed over by the salesman there. He proceeded to ask the next gentleman that was waiting 20 feet behind me. When customer answered that he was only looking then the salesman just walked passed me. I then asked him why did he not asked me if I needed any help. His replied was that, "It must of been the hat hat!" I was ticked off and felt offended. Then, I asked if I could have this one particular shoe in a size 6 for woman.
