I’ve had a few issues with the employees. Minor issues at first, then it got worse. I witnessed the gentleman upfront touching the trash then taking an order then touching people’s food. I brought this to the owner’s attention and he apologized. Then the same employee completely ignored our take out order when I bought it to his attention he said you have to understand we’re busy, I then replied with you served numerous of Customers after us. What really happened was that they forgot about us. We finally got our food 35 minutes later. We didn’t go back for months, we decided to give it one chance. They failed miserably.. we ordered our food that cost $53 plus a tip. We got our food, got home notice we were missing a Baja shrimp taco, drove all the way back with our entire meal, and receipt. I told the gentleman that took our order that we were missing a taco. I asked if he can remake our food because by the time we would go back to our house our other food would’ve been cold. The cashier then spoke to one of the Cook and the cook told him that he wouldn’t remake the food. The cashier then came over to my wife, and I told us that the Refuses to make the food. I asked to speak to a manager and they informed me Manager was on duty. He informed me that he would be calling the manager. The cashier then informed me he had work to do and wouldn’t be able to continue to help us with our situation. He was very unprofessional. The cashier then gave us the managers number for us to call him ourselves. During that phone call, we learned that the staff lied to him and Told him we came back wanting a whole new order and didn’t have our food with us, when in fact we did. We ended up speaking to The Cook that did not want to remake our order and in broken English, he let us know that he wasn’t the one who messed up our order. After sitting at the restaurant for about another half an hour, we finally left with our food remade with only apology from the cook, who remade our order. No apology from the manager. Just attitude from the cashier. We will not...

So far, I have tried the crack taco, baja shrimp taco, beef rolled tacos, chicken taco, al pastor taco & birria taco. All have been delicious, was a bit disappointed with the birria taco the 2nd visit dining in due to no consomme being given with it like it had been the 1st time I had it which was the main reason I ordered it the 2nd time. The prices displayed on the menu are not the actual prices charged. Was a bit surprised while being rung in which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I would've changed my order to a burrito instead. Music was uncomfortably loud the 2nd visit. It started low but as we conversated during our meal it got increasingly louder. I have ordered twice via postmates & dined in twice. The 1st dine in visit was great, the 2nd not so much due to the music & overall vibe. Maybe staff was just having a long day? The 2 times I ordered for delivery I have noticed to be a bit better proportion-wise. I don't know if that is due to different staff or because it was delivery. I will definitely be back to try the burritos & other menu items that look tasty but might try going earlier in the day or getting it to go if it's in the evening. I'm not a big fan of spicy things but the salsas are absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend giving Crack...

Tried this tucked away taco shop to see if it really was "crack."

First and foremost, the quality of the ingredients is exceptional.

I ordered a Carne asada, birria, and fish taco. The steak texture was perfect. Large enough to be savored but small enough to chew. Slightly charred for a crunch and smokiness. The natural flavor of the meat is the only thing carrying this taco, though. IF there is seasoning, it's hardly noticeable. 3.5/5

The birria was a mind blowing. The shredding beef wasn't crispy like I prefer. However, the marinade is a taste bud parade! The homemade tortillas were thick yet still airy and fluffy. 4.5/5 I will come back for these.

The IPA battered fish was mediocre. The saltiness and hoppy notes were good, but the texture of the batter was a little soggy. The cabbage volume was ideal and it was nice and crunchy, but the chipotle mayo fell really flat. It wasn't very creamy and no lemon was provided to cut through/compliment/enhance any existing favors. 3/5

Overall, I'm happy with my first experience. The cost was reasonable for the size and quality. I would be willing to return when in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way. I think to call it "crack" is a bit of a...

I have been coming here for a few days while on lunch at work to get a feel if I'd like to make this a regular spot. The first few times I got tacos and they were all 🔥🔥🔥particularly the crack (tri tip) tacos. The tortillas are fresh, thick and delicious. The spot kind of has hipster vibes and isn't really authentic, but the food does slap. The reason for my 3 star rating is due to the surf and turf burrito I ordered today. In San Diego you really need to bring your burrito game in order to out do the competition. This burrito was just small frankly, and perhaps lacking some filler ingredients like onion, cabbage, cilantro, or unique flavor. I got this burrito to "treat myself" thinking I could save half for after work. I smashed both halves real quickly and felt a little hungry afterwards - which is fine and all. Not much carne asada or shrimp in it. Mostly cheese, rice and guac. But for $16 in San Diego, that burrito has to be somethin special to bring folks back. This place is pretty new and the owner seems to come in to work which is cool. Hopefully they check this review and consider the burrito recipe/style.

I'm a neighbor so, I like to think of myself as a loyal customer. Now, I understand the pandemic took a toll on all of us. I myself am a chef and used to love coming here after a hard shift and enjoy a nice surf and turf burrito. In the past couple months I have ordered said burrito (no Pico de Gallo please) as I am starting to develop an intolerance to tomato 😔and unfortunately, everytime I forget to ask at the counter when I pick it up to make sure no Pico de Gallo. And everytime when I get home, I bite into or open the burrito to this! My wife stopped liking this place looong time ago and I just stayed loyal. I even convinced her to get some tri tip nachos just to give them another chance. But, honestly, now with tonight, the unseasoned shrimp, barely any "tritip" and all this tomato. Not to mention all food was cold. I picked up instead of delivery. I can only imagine if I was to get it delivered. Not to mention my wife's daughter came into town tonight so, i really wanted to impress with the whole tri tip thing. Sad 😔 night, sad dinner. Might, MIGHT be a while until I go back.

First time trying this place out! Great vibe and atmosphere. Was looking forward to the food. Ordered the Crack Tri-Tip Fries! When the food arrived, everything looked great! Couldn't wait to dive in! Upon the first bite, you could treat m taste the blend of flavors from the guac, sour cream and other toppings. Along with the freshly made french fries! The Tri-Tip was also flavorful but it was cold! It seems as if the Tri-Tip may have been premade but was not heated before adding it to the freshly cooked French Fries! This was disappointing but did not stop me from finishing these off. The Spicy Salsa made this dish even more savory! So my expectations being a little high because of recommendations from others may have caused my rating to be a little harsh due to the cold Tri-Tip. However, I would recommend trying this place for yourself as there area few things on the menu I'd still like to try as well.
