The Fairmont Home Depot is not one of my favorite Home Depots but it's the closest so I use it more than others. I'm used to the setup in this store as well. The staff are usually polite and helpful when I ask for help which is a plus. On my recent trip there, I was in a hurry for one specific tool. I only had a few minutes to spare but I needed a paint scraper(but at the time, I didn't know it was a paint scraper). See my picture. I showed them the one on the left which also has a hammer in the pic. The right picture is what I got the next day. I first asked three lady's standing near the front registers, showing them the picture. With each person I spoke to, I showed them this picture of the scraper I needed. They pointed me to isle 18 and one of the workers there. When I got to him, he pointed me to the kitchen flooring area. When I got there, I spoke two ladies and one walked me around and couldn't find what I needed. She pointed me back to isle 18. On the way, someone else took me to the tile flooring area. Later they said they just didn't have it, so after 15-20 minutes, I left with a substitute tool. I looked online and found one at Oceanside so I ordered it there, with free next day delivery. I had it by 930am the next morning. Wow. So I went back to Fairmont home depot to return the substitute tool I bought. While there, since now I knew it was called a paint scraper, I looked and found it in the paint section. I spoke to seven people the night before that didn't know. Wow. The other thing I don't like about this Home Depot is the massive amount of migrant workers out in the parking lot and on the sidewalk peddling for work EVERY TIME I go there, no matter what time of day. It's uncomfortable to go there. Its nice people are looking for work but I don't feel safe to park anywhere near them. Kind of like when I'm coming back across the San Ysidro border getting solicited by so many as I drive by. PARKING is also super crowded there. That's why my rating is: just OK.

This is for the Home Depot on Fairmount Avenue in San Diego. I bought a large sink too heavy to carry. I came back a few days later and picked it up. I had it loaded for me no problem. A few days later I came to look for cabinet drawer handles. I could not find a certain variety. We asked for help and a gentleman found all the necessary handles. Prices always fairly competitive. They have a return policy that I do like. Keep your receipts. But even if you don’t have the receipt just present the credit card that the purchase was made with.

I shop at this store more than any other place. I do maintenance for a living! This store is clean, friendly, and everyone here is always helpful and willing to go out of their way to help me with whatever I need. Well, almost everyone. Great job home Depot Fairmont! Starting with 5 Stars, I've made the following adjustments: Poor customer service experience on January 25th 2024: -1 ⭐ 4/1/24 Continued Great Customer service from employee by name of Kylee +1 ⭐ Total star rating after adjustments; ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 Stars!)

I had found a price match on Amazon the day after I had purchased a new stackable battery at a Home Depot in San Diego on Fairmount Ave. On the evening of February 22 a slender guy with curly blond hair from the power tool section, whose name I did not catch, sold me on the $119 battery purchase by explaining the technology and efficiency difference in the new stackable Dewalt battery line clearly and with detailed accessible language. The next morning I happened to see the same battery at a lower price on Amazon so after checking the Home Depot website, then ascertaining that it was a direct sale from Amazon and not a third-party seller, I contacted the store and asked them if they would be willing to do a price match on the battery purchase. When I called on the morning of 2/23/24 at around 8 o’clock in the and selected “speak to a manager” from the automated system, I waited no more than three rings before a person picked up and that person was Miguel who was the manager on duty at the time. I explained the situation and told him where to look it up online which he did and he told me that if I came in today or tomorrow he would be happy to do the price match for me and gave me his hours so that I didn’t arrive outside of the time when he was there, as that would be most convenient as he already was aware of the situation. As it turned out I was detained and was not able to make it in the morning during his working hours, but I happened to be driving by the store in the evening, and I stopped in to ask if they could do the price match I had spoken to Miguel about in the morning. As I walked into the main entrance of the eternally well-kept store, (which has never had anything but top-notch customer service), I was greeted by two associates who were standing near the customer service section. I told them that I was looking for a manager and a gentleman named Brian K or BK as he is known here listened to my quick explanation of my discussion with Miguel and immediately accommodated the price match, honoring Miguel’s proffered seamless customer service experience with good natured efficiency. While Home Depot has consistently been representative of what customer service should be in the modern age, employees like Miguel and BK along with the guy from the powertool section the night before who helped me understand the Dewalt technology, make the Fairmont Ave store an experience which ensures I will always be a Home Depot customer. Please let them know how...
