I absolutely love Sushi. I have never before had a problem with any Sushi restaurant...Yesterday my husband and I decided to eat at Osaka, I ordered Two California Rolls and asked the waitress if they could possibly put Salmon on top? ( Knowing usually it is a couple dollars more ) all she said was yes we can. I ate my food and recieved the receipt ( service was terrible after we had gotten our food ) not only did we feel like we had no one serving us BUT our Bill was TWICE as much.... WHY??? Because the waitress took it upon herself to order not a custom California Roll But Give me an entirely DIFFERENT ROLL!!! THE NINJA ROLL??? THAT WASNT $4 BUT $12 EACH...I Calmly got up and said " Excuse me? I didn't order two Ninja Rolls...She says Well we can't make a California Roll with Salmon that's the only roll like it...it usually comes with tuna too. Wouldn't even make eye contact with me. SHE DID NOT EXPLAIN THIS OR ANYTHING WHILE I ORDERED. HAD I KNOWN I WOULD OF JUST GOTTEN A PLAIN CALI ROLL? I DIDNT ASK FOR TWO "NINJA ROLLS" yet here I am paying for rolls I didn't know werent Cali rolls. The service is BAD UNPROFESSIONAL AND TRY TO CHEAT YOU OUT OF MONEY. DO NOT GO HERE...Even the tables were dirty and unstable, we decided to wipe it and ignore it... HORRIBLE! She is middle aged Caucasian I believe with black hair in a down ponytail and hosts at the front....

My local go-to Sushi place. Cost effective combinations with special requests on the sushi set meals cheerfully accommodated. Very fast & personable service at the bar. Table service isn't as good. I like Cherry Cola. They don't have Cherry Cola. So they make it for me with Marciano cherry juice and usually throw in like 5 cherries or so. They remember my "usual" . . . and even did so after a 2 year absence. I typically eat there once every week or two when I town . . . sometimes more, sometimes less . . . but always satisfied with the service, food and prices. Not a fancy date place. More of a practical regular hole in the wall strip mall joint . . . but always clean & tidy. Low sodium soy sauce readily available. Saki, beer & wine choices if you're into that. Bar, booth, table & outdoor seating available. Cuts of fish varry in size between sushi restaurants: the cuts here are average, but the price way below average. Salad, miso, edamame & etc. aren't included on the sushi sets, but again, price would probably be higher if it was. Full lunch with drink & decent tip for $20, less if you wanna be frugal. You can fill yourself up for $10 if you need. Five stars . . . 'cause anything I would deduct stars for would probably raise the meal prices or lower quality of food . . . so 5...

My partner and I went here cuz I wanted Yakisoba and she wanted sushi. The atmosphere was killer. The service was fast, like super fast. The only ding on service was not asking if we wanted another soda. Diet drinkers always want more. Diets numb the stomach while simultaneously delivering a crisp bubbly bite that washes down our food and sets up the next bite. So, in this case the diets were in can form, idc how many I gotta pay for, it would be nice if I was asked if I wanted another. I am used to this kinda oversight so if you drink water, disregard my rant (totally drinking a diet rn). The sushi was about 20 bucks a set. Pricy for just "ok". Yakosiba lacked noodles compared to let's say Dao Fu on Adams. Apps were good, really liked fried shrimp. Overall just ok. Total was like 90 bucks after tip. Other places with a better rep are a tad cheaper. Wish this place the best tho. May even go back to give it...

Tried this place for the first time. It us a very small, laid-back sushi place, which I really enjoyed. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. They have a lot of booths, which is nice. There is a very small bar at the front with about 8 seats or so. They do not have a hostess, and you have to write your name and # in your party on a pad of paper. Our waitress seemed a little apathetic. She lost our food ticket (even after we received one of our appetizers (edemame) and one of the entrees) and came to ask what we ordered. She did say that the sushi rolls were being made, but she just lost the ticket. However, after I reminded her of what we ordered, she brought out my miso soup and then another order of edemame. I will say the food came out pretty quickly, even the sushi, and was delicious. The prices are really good too! I will definitely come back again and try some different menu items! Very worth a try!

Solid Japanese cookery. Service was efficient, that's it. Some highlights: Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. Light and airy but also satisfyingly crisp. Well done. Deliciously fresh with a nice crisp texture. Seaweed Salad is all that. Perfect example of a Rainbow Roll. Fresh fish atop just the right amount of rice and crab. Couldn't be happier with this. Shrimp Tempura Crunchy Roll. Good tho I wish it didn't have cream cheese. Don't bother: Crunchy Roll. This was gross. Salmon and tuna were so fishy I almost spat out the first bite. Avoid this one at all costs, not good. Otherwise very good and next door to Soapy Joe's!
