Del Taco — Restaurant in San Diego

First of all, the special cheese stuffed quesidilla steak taco does NOT look like the taco on their menu board. I mean, they could not of told me when I asked how big it was for the price they were asking. They were SO SMALL!!! I went through Drive through because the doors to the store were locked. It was about 445pm maybe 5pm. I ordered 2 of the those steak stuffed cheese tacos and fries. When I approached the window, the guy behind the window had black fingernail polish on when grabbing my card. His hair was balled on top of his head with no hair Net. He hands me my order, and he hands me a large sprite. I did not order that..he goes you didn't? I said no I did not. He goes, since you paid for it, are you sure you don't want it? Not thinking about I just took it. Stopped at the end of driveway, I decided to look in my bag. It looked like two wrapped foil that did not look like tacos at all, but two mini burritos. I went back, and said you gave me the wrong order, he says no. Get the manager, I pointed at the picture on the menu board on Drive through of what I ordered, she says yes it was. I gave back everthing and said my order does not look like anything like the picture. She says but it is. So I demanded my money back and...

I am done with this location. After numerous attempts of hoping it was just an off day, its clear everyday is an off day no matter what time you go. More often than not the food is cold. The fries are not fresh and cold. The wrapping of the food is messy so when you open it, it spills all over you. The last time I went I ordered a quesadilla and because I know it gets cold quickly, I started eating it as soon as I left. It wasnt even cooked. The cheese hadnt been melted and the center was cold. I immediately turned around to bring it back. Less than 3 minutes from the time I got it to the time I came back. The lady never apologized, basically tried to tell me that she gave it to me "quite some time ago" I said I just left, its barely been 3 minutes. Didnt even look at it, just threw it away and asked that they remake me a new one. When I asked her why her tone came off as though it was my fault and she was annoyed I brought it back she of course tried to back track that wasnt the case. I said you are clearly annoyed and you didnt even apologize. At which point...

The crew was great, it’s clean and easy to find. A little too long for the inside order though. The reason for the 3 stars is that I got this feeling, and It happens every time I go to Del taco, that this was a choice made because the nearest Taco Bell is too far away. Yes, location, location. I wish that Del taco redesigned and redefined its identity and menu to include better food. For instance, the flour tortillas taste like chemicals. If they just changed that the food would taste better and feel more natural. The dining room looks like they hired the same interior designer as Taco Bell. Del taco could be great if they just stopped trying to be like...
