Max and his team were there for a very important moment in our life and they made it absolutely perfect! After rescheduling our wedding due to Covid19, Paul and I wanted to honor the day we were supposed to get married in front of our family and friends and do it anyways! We couldn’t be married at the venue, we couldn’t have our entire family at the Airbnb we rented and we couldn’t have all our friends there either but what Max and his team created for the small group of people we could celebrate with was entirely perfect in every way!

He answered my emails promptly, he created a menu that was beautiful, he showed up the day before at our Airbnb to talk it over and to make sure it was done the way we wanted. He showed up early and more importantly he made the best meal for our day!

I’d like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making a day we thought we’d have to wait for a reality! It was more perfect than I ever imagined and I’m so grateful we had them cater our wedding...

Zafferano Catering and Chef Max Farina are just the best! We at San Diego Italian Film Festival partnered together for 2 events and they were a blast! Everybody loved their amazing food and excellent service. Recently we organized together another event with University of San Diego and also that night was extremely successful. Yesterday we ordered lasagna, parmigiana di melanzane (that is Italian for eggplant), chicken rolls stuffed with prosciutto, spinach, and mozzarella with a spectacular mushroom sauce. Plus cannoli and traditional Sicilian cookies. Everything was delicious to say the least. The experience is like eating in a very good place in Italy. This is authentic Italian food. In these difficult times, as an Italian expat, in order to find comfort, I'm cooking a lot. Let me to begin by saying that my experience with Max and his incredible company Zafferano was unforgettable!!!!!! I celebrated my big birthday and because of Max, this event will be always remembered. Max is not just a chief who loves to cook; he is so passionate, so knowledgeable and so good, that all people around can feel his joy for cooking! From the beginning of my BD Max asked me to relax because he will take care of the most important part is incredible Sicilian dinner.
