The wait was incredibly long just for the food to come to the table after you order the wait to site down was nothing at all because the restorant is big the customer at this time at 11:05am when I entered was 10 tables when they have close to 40 tables if not more it is now 11:57am and I had just got my food at 11:50am took 7min to get a waitress to come to the table to explain my problem with the Food and drink the coffee mugs were dirty dirty dirty the toast was burnt all slices not one, all.... I asked for manager they told me they are on lunch and won't be back till 20min. So they took my plates after I told them I would like to wait for the manager so I cant talk to her and ask for a new plate of food and clean cups to drink coffee they brought my wife's plate and it literally had a hair in the food this is unacceptable for a restorant or any place of food service all this and their prices are higher their staff is less because of the rising cost to the organization has to pay their employees so they cut back on staff because of the cost of wage for employees wit h results in less staff over worked personal causing stress on employees that later causes havic on customers with later diminishes sales then causing organizations to later close their doors... as I rated the:
My mom and I at the Dennys #7780 located at 4280 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego 92117 on Thursday June 30th at 2pm in the afternoon and we will never eat there again because of the horrible customer service.
Our server was Brandon. He was not wearing a name tag, shirt untucked, couldn’t even tell he worked there.
My mom came in to get us a table while I ran to the bank across the parking lot. My mom, who is disabled and elderly, sat there for 5 minutes and wasn’t even offered a water. This was one of San Diego’s heat advisory days.
I came in and joined my mom and we waited another 5 minutes before Brandon came over. He didn’t introduce himself or say hello. He was rude the entire experience. He never checked on us, asked how our food was or anything.
We had to wait for 10 minutes after finishing our food and trying to flag him down to get our check and even then I had to walk up to the cash register and ask for my check.
I walked the restaurant interior and there were only 5 tables, including ours, with 2 servers. Even one server can easily handle 5 tables. But we were treated like he really didn’t want us there.
I use to work at Dennys and thought your company had some kind of customer service standard, but clearly this location does not care if people come back.

Read moreAt 8:10 am, I was sat at my table. Right after I was sat I was completely in shock to see and hear my server Alex having a full on verbal altercation with his female colleague. When they had finished their arguments, Alex takes my order. Later, I get my food and the food seemed to be ok. As I am drinking my water I noticed that the glass had a huge cravk in the glass. I took a picture. My server never returned to my table so I then went up to the front so that I can pay. I let Alex, my server know that there was a huge crack in the glass that was provided to me in hopes that he take that into account and dispose of the glass so that no one get injured. Well, no he did not seem to care at all and simply said " sorry to hear that". I paid $18.94 for one plate which is expected somewhat, but due to the unnecessary display of 2 employees arguing and yelling at each other in front of the entire diner and for the cracked glass, I believe that the service could have been way better than what I received. I felt horrible for not leaving a tip but due to the treatment I got, I was subject to leave with the feeling of not going back to this Denny's ever. My original idea of a place to each was the taco bell that was close by or a salad from Vons. I know for next time that I am in the area to avoid going to that...
