My husband and I heard about this place through one of his coworkers and she HIGHLY recommended it. We decided tonight to head in and try it out! Iâll start with the fact that usually restaurants located inside grocery stores are always fireâŚand this was no exception! The employee was incredibly friendly and answered all of our questions. Nowâon to the food. I feel like my whole life has been a lie. I thought I knew what spice was. I thought I had experienced a spicy chicken sandwich once or twice in my day, and I expected this hot chicken sandwich to be one and the same. You know when you order a spicy chicken sandwich, but you know itâs not gonna ACTUALLY be spicy, just have a little kick like chick-fil-Aâs or somethingâŚYeah, this was not that. One bite and I felt like I had cleared my sinuses for years to come! I looked up and my husbandâwho was half way through his spicy chicken sandwich at this pointâwas chugging water from our kitchen faucet. You know that old vine video thatâs like âhe needs some milk!â That was me yelling at him to get milk instead. He then ripped open the fridge and chugged from our milk carton, which did not help him at all. I tried to talk to him and ask him to bring me some lettuce (idk why, but maybe an attempt to make my mouth colder??) but he said he couldnât get it for me because he couldnât think straight. He then started singing, âA Horse With No Name,â which Iâve never heard him sing before. I tried to eat a fry thinking it would help distract me but the savory seasoning only made the spice more powerful. To make matters worse, both drinks I had in front of me were acidic drinks, so I decided to coat my mouth in ranch. Iâve been dairy free for 8 years but this was worth breaking it for. Youâre probably wondering why I rated this a 5 star, let me be clear, if I could give this place 10 stars, I would without a doubt. That sandwich was DELICIOUS. It was so incredibly spicy and yet so perfectly seasoned, juicy and balanced. The pickles were firm, not those floppy pickles from a run down McDonaldâs. Donât even get me started on this MF brioche bread. Look up âchefâs kissâ in the dictionary and this sandwich would be next to it. Will I be ordering this sandwich again? I donât think my tongue could handle it. However, will I be returning to purchase the regular side chick chicken sandwich? Oh, Iâll probably be back again sometime this weekend (it is Friday). We also got the side chick fries for our daughters and they are toddlers, so I donât need to tell you the level of picky they are, but they requested seconds! I was shocked that they ate everything I put in front of them. That was honestly the true test. Anyway, bottomline is that this place has great, delicious food and very friendly service. Did not...
Read moreChicken so good and moist. First time here and I loved it. Best crispy chicken in the area. I ordered the hot chick fries and it was $12 for a lot. I think itâs worth the price. If you skeptical or not sure trust me just go and try it out, will not be disappointed. Itâs inside a farmer market store to shop for groceries and has a MichoacĂĄna inside and the meat there looks good quality, definitely will be coming back. I also found the gansito paletas Iâm obsessed with. Try them out too, they are by the register in the little paleta...
Read moreWe ordered from there tonight and my daughter got three chicken tenders and they were so dark they were almost black. We didn't realize this until we got home. And on my chicken sandwich (the Korean one) I ordered the $1.50 onion rings to go on it and there was one extremely tiny onion ring about the size of a silver dollar. I emailed them about this and I never heard back. I will never ever go back here again. And make sure you check your food...
