Filiberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Diego

There are many taco shops in San Diego that I could have chosen to eat at.I should have listened to myself and passed on this place. I never come here but today we were hungry and decided to give this place a try.We live about 1 mile from this place . I ordered the Carne Asada fries which you can see there is barely any Carne Asada on there. Very disappointing when I opened this up. I also ordered 3 carne asada mini tacos that they messed up and gave us chicken. Head north of this place if you want a better place to eat. Never again will give this place a penny of my money. I work to hard for my money to spend it on a tiny portion of carne asada fries and some tacos that we didn’t even order. If you’re planning on eating here,do your self a favor and...

Overall, less than mediocre. The woman who took our order was fairly incompetent. We ordered six al pastor tacos and 2 tripas. We got six asada tacos even though asada was never mentioned.

They looked okay but the carne asada is dry, poor quality, only seasoned with salt and tasteless. The cilantro and onion taste like they're chopped in a food processor at the beginning of the day and by the time they get used are dry and odorless and lack flavor and the tamarindo I ordered tastes watered down and basic. It wasn't inedible, just not what I asked for or expected.

It's a shame because this place used to be really good but they've gone downhill. I'm not sure if it's new owners or just lower...

Food is amazing but it's stupid that I have to go inside every single time because they refuse to give you limes or lemons through the drive through 🙄 I really do not understand that.

So to make your visit faster, just call ahead and order carryout so when you get there, all you have to do is pay and pickup.

Also the only reason I keep trying to do drive thru and carryouts is because when I DID dine in here a few years back, there was a baby cockroach crawling on the wall by my head while I was sitting down waiting for the food to come. So my 3 stars is STRICTLY based on the food and quality of...
