I really hate not having nice things to say about a place I have eaten at, but it happens. The service was nice... but then there were only 3 people in the joint...
The food was not good, I ordered the Greek salad with protein, the gyro meat came in chunks and was cooked and burned from cooking it on the gril, yuckl... however, the salad vegetables were nice and fresh.. My wife had the tenderloin steak with rice pilaf, nothing tender about that piece... burnt and way over cooked, the rice was firm and hard... sic.. I have made better pilaf at home.. She did not even eat half of the plate before she gave up... Wifey was not impressed at all, and I heard about it that afternoon and all evening long. We have to mini-disposals (dachshunds) at home who were very happy, though... Maybe it was too early as we got there as the place opened. The joint has great reviews, so maybe we were just unlucky... don't really...
Read moreVery tasty food with a very homemade feel! I've been eating here for at least three years, and i have always enjoyed the food. The classics (e.g. falafel & tzatziki, gyro plate, baklava) are really excellent, the veggies (however you get them) are yummy, and there is a whole lot of stuff on the menu that you won't normally find in a middle eastern restaurant. The homemade sauces are full of flavor, so good. The owner is really nice, and really cares about making good food for you. One caveat, as noted in some other reviews, is that they prepare everything on demand so it can take 12-15 minutes to get even a small order. My solution is to call ahead ... works great! Another problem is the parking lot and eat-in facilities. Usually we get the food to go, head to our favorite brewery...
Read moreService was great! Enjoyed the soup, fries, and the loukoumades, but unfortunately I didn’t like the chicken gyro, spanakopita, or tzatziki. Despite looking delicious I felt like the chicken was lacking in flavor, and the tzatziki was extremely thick and lumpy- didn’t taste like the tzatziki from other authentic Greek restaurants in the area, so possibly made using slightly different ingredients. The spanakopita had a bit of a strangle flavor to it that I also wasn’t enjoying too much. Overall, somewhat pricey for our experience with the food. It may have just been what we ordered that happened to fall short of our expectations, but I still recommend trying this place out because other people seem to really enjoy the food! Decided to visit based on the great reviews....
