TLDR: This authorized Speed Queen dealer and repair servicer are incredibly reliable, and Alex (SD store) will bend over backward to take care of you. They used North Island Appliance Installs, which were a nightmare to deal with (online reviews can be found).
I found Premier Appliance on the Speed Queen website under authorized retailers/repair servicing. Given the up-to 7-year warranty these machines have, it was a perfect choice. I spoke with Alex (San Diego store), who was knowledgeable and held onto a DR-7 for me. Alex was easy to work with, except for one oversight: a stair fee. Delivery fee for a washer/dryer set is $180, which includes removal of old units. The stair fee is a whopping $120. It would not have been an issue, except I learned of the stair fee the next day upon the arrival of the installers. Alex negotiated with me over the phone and offered for me to only pay $40 of it.
My biggest issue: North Island Appliance Installs. The installers showed up as scheduled. Alex had not informed the installers about the stairs. The installers gave me issues, attitude, and did not want to do the install. They claimed they could not shut off the water because of the washing machine valves and referred me to a plumber. Alex tried his best to convince them to move forward with the install but was unsuccessful. After the installers left, I inspected the valves myself. They completely shut off without issue and presented no problems. (Today, I looked up the company and there were several complaints for similar issues within the past year.)
I updated Alex on the awful situation, and he went above and beyond for me; to include him answering my phone calls after-hours. The solution: The owner of Premier Appliance would personally install my washer and dryer. He installed the appliances without issue, and I paid him $60 for the stair fee.
Note: 1) The total installation cost would normally be $300. It’s steep, but they do not force you to buy “install kits” that are mandatory from other appliance and big-box stores. If you do not have stairs, $180 is a reasonable price. 2) North Island Appliance Installs claimed there was a valve issue. Plumber confirmed no issue was present.
Conclusion: This company will do anything to rectify an issue and I would confidently go back to them again. For appliances, I want the security of knowing I can rely on the business to be there when I need them. I’ve considered my money to have...

This wine fridge is a simply the worst! It looks attractive but if you try to load anything other than white wine, it will not accommodate the bottles. You might be able to 5 or 6 bottles on a shelf designed for 8 but they won't fit straight and, in most cases, the shelves jam. Dryer was returned and replaced within 2 hours. 1) Alex (Sales) was responsive, flexible and customer-service conscious. North Island Appliance delivery was courteous, careful, and flexible to deliver the same day with replaced product.
