I've been meaning to write this since Feb (2 mo ago). I was hungry when I Googled "Pizza near me" and Hillcrust Pizza popped up. Santiago took my order. He recommended a pizza and said it was "really good." LIAR!! It was FANTASTIC🤯!! Santiago so undersold his recommendation. I've been back 3 times (and bragging to all my friends about the spectacular food), trying something new each time. The Meatball Hilly... so beautiful 🥹! Very difficult to pick one as a favorite pizza because they've ALL been amazing!! Most recent orders for our pizza crowd were Golden Hill, Classic Cheese, Downtown, and The Boulevard (White pizza). A wide variety of choices where everyone felt they were a winner! And for those who routinely leave the pizza crust... to leave a Hillcrust Pizza crust uneaten would be a sin. Sorry no pictures. We DEVOURED the food before we realized we had forgotten to take pictures. The posted pictures 📸 from the menu do NOT truly capture the experience. Thank you, Santiago! Thank you, Hillcrust Pizza! And thank you Google for aligning the universe to connect me to...

Hillcrust is close to home and a super cute place with friendly owners and a huge wood fired oven. One day working from home I ordered a cheesesteak to pick up for lunch. I've had original Philly Cheesesteaks so really don't know what I was expecting from San Diego but I never see them on a menu so I took a chance and to my surprise it was actually quite delicious. Not sure where they get their bread from but it tasted like they got from Philly. Cheesesteak is all in the bread. So, last night I went back to grab a pizza. I ordered the North Park pizza. Hands down, the best pizza around. It was not only beautiful aesthetically, it was delicious. I've never finished a whole pizza (12") in my life but I ate every bite. The crust was made from some magical dough, and it was topped with a magical cheese, not regular pizza cheese, with sausage and pepperoni and topped with fresh bright green jalapenos. The combination was magical! I will be trying all their pizzas and, sorry Bronx, I...

This spot is becoming viral on Instagram so we had to stop by and check it out for ourselves. We ordered the Golden Hill, the Downtown, Loaded Hilly Cheesesteak and the Cesar Salad. I MEAN!!! That crust is just incredible! Light but just the right amount of crunch on the outside. You're going to want to grab the bottle of balsamic they have out and enjoy every last bite. The Golden Hill with the honey hot sauce is the game changer for me!! We ordered another one to go on the way out.

The bigger surprise was the Cesar salad. The dressing must be their own recipe not from the bottle. It rivaled the tableside Cesar at Born and Raised. I didn't try the Hilly Cheesesteak but my daughter and husband slayed that thing pretty quickly.

Ingredients top notch all around. Lives up to the hype, and sadly now I'll have to spend more time on the treadmill to keep up with my new...

We had a great experience checking out hill crust, pizza. They make their pizza out of fresh dough every single day. You can literally smell how amazing the dough is. My son was with me and he loves pizza so much eve said he can smell how amazing the dough was! The crust was absolutely amazing! I’m one of those people who do not eat the crust, and I completely finished mine! But man you should definitely try out their Philly cheese sandwiches! He makes it with seven different spices he called it the seven wonders of the sandwich lol the bread was so crispy the cheese was melted perfectly. After Rowan had a try-of the meat, he also wanted some too! Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. They are several tables you can sit at and a sitting area right in front if you wanted to people watch. Go grab something to eat and enjoy the beautiful scenery of San Diego!

Frequent business traveler who like to try local pizza restaurants . I quick search on Google had me looking for a small, hole in the wall pizza place. HillCrust looked interesting from the photos and reviews. A neat little place in a busy little downtown area. Note that you order inside and you sit in their courtyard area to eat. Has heaters for cool evenings. Neat vibe with an alleyway seating area. Music, clean, and entertaining. The Golden Goldenhill pepperoni, bacon with hot honey was ok. The Woodford crust was tasty, the meat was OK, the hot honey, although it was on the pizza you couldn't taste it. Just disappointed with the lack of flavor. I did get to try the pesto chicken pizza and that had much more flavor.

I mean wow! The pizza here was amazing along with the service. Karen was great from the moment walking in. Now down to the pizza it was amazing! The dough you can taste the quality along with the toppings. We added jalapeños to ours which was a great touch. Primarily outside seating which gives you a great ambiance feel like first date type of vibes. Well placed heaters for the cold evenings along with cheese and pepper shakers for you to grab. Haven’t had their cheesesteaks yet, but the owner Jay was informing me about how it fresh cut chopped on the griddle. This place is most definitely a spot you need to stop at for some good quality pizza!
