It was decent.

Let’s talk about the bad first, to get it out of the way. Someone in my party got a bagel scramble that I was able to try. It was an underwhelming bagel-and-egg sandwich that most people can pretty easily recreate at home. I ordered an iced americano, and the roast was a little dark for me. There was a little citrus, but the bitterness was overwhelming. It kind of tasted like an orange peal. CafĂ©s that heavily promote their syrupy coffee drinks tend to over roast their espresso, since the harsh bitter taste of really dark coffee is the only coffee flavor that can pierce through the intense sweetness of all the added sugar, and this is probably why the espresso was so dark at Influx. As a final nit picky thing, the bathrooms are hard to find, but the staff is more than willing to help you.

Which leads us into the good. The costumer service was great. The staff answered all of my questions (and helped me find the bathroom) with a smile on their faces. I ordered the traditional bagel (w/o tomatoes). It was really good, and although it was expensive, I’d order it again. The aforementioned party member ordered the iced brewed coffee, which was not bad. It had the same citrus taste, but without the overpowering bitterness of the americano. The citrus was not clear enough to pick out specific flavor...

Earlier this morning I took my car into a new and highly recommended mechanic. I will post a review on that later. I did not get to eat anything before leaving to take the car in, so I walked around the local South Park neighborhood in search of coffee and breakfast.

Although there are a lot of restaurants in this area, most of them were not open and do not open until 11 AM. Came into influx café and in reviewing their menu decided to try the bagel scramble and an americano. What can I say? OMG. That bagel was so good I think I died and went to heaven LOL. It was perfectly prepared and a very generous size portion for the price. In other words the price was very reasonable for the serving of food that I received.

Every bite of that sandwich was tasty and wonderful . I may have to keep bringing my car here so that I can have a reason to come here for breakfast LOL.

And, I have not yet mentioned that the Americano tasted great as well. This restaurant uses solar power to roast their coffee beans and I appreciate that because in addition to providing excellent food and coffee, they are working to care for the environment.

When you are in so far and looking for coffee or breakfast, stop at influx café and check them out!! I highly recommend them and I...

I’m writing this review as I sit in Influx for probably the 58th time. I have frequented this coffee shop every time i’m in San Diego over the past three years, and let me tell you, they are consistently good. Their roasts are strong and affordable. The service is always pleasant and friendly (they always welcome you in when you walk through the door, for example). The atmosphere is super relaxing and plenty of space to sit, including outside. I recommend the orange cushion chairs though, they’re a lot more comfy. Did I mention affordable? I can’t remember the last time I had a large 16oz for $4, especially in North Park. The only downside is having to use the restroom outside, but that’s not a huge deal and it’s always clean. I love...

Ah-mazing turkey breast sandwiches! 😍 Turkey Nr 1 on focaccia is my fav, sooo good. Everything is extremely fresh, extremely clean and you can taste the freshness and cleanliness lol. Sandwiches are affordable too. Great coffee and super friendly staff, great vibes altogether. I see plenty of folks working from here, so that’s another confirmation that this place is legit. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, parking may have to be done on side streets.
