Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in San Diego

An excellent location right on the main drag in Garnet St., Pacific Beach, CA. We seek out Jersey Mike's Subs whenever we are craving the best subs, & wherever we are. Walked in to a very clean & organized dining area, the staff greeted me & pointed to the gal next to him so I can place my order. She was very personable, courteous, listened carefully to my instructions, was so efficiently slicing and building the sandwich I ordered. All of probably - 7 mins from start to finish, is how much time it took her to build my order, cut, wrapped & she also rung it up. Now, that is great service! The sandwiches were delicious, as a Jersey Mike's sub is known for except I noticed, all the meats & cheese in it were sliced so thin that you could see through each slice of the cheese. We do like the veggie in it, makes up for the minimal cheese & meat.Our favorite is #9 Club Sandwich De Luxe, Giant. I can understand cutting cost, and it would be a wise business move not to sacrifice the quality of the product as we, the consumers, expect the consistent quality for the price. We've accumulated plenty points and will be back, hopefully, the sandwich has stayed perfectly built...

Extremely upset with the service here. They have dedicated gluten free station meant for gluten free sandwiches you would think they could get it right but no they can’t. Filed a complaint before and then got a a call from JM corporate saying they will train employees to go over GF safety protocols. He also mentioned I would get a call from the franchise owner or storage manager which I have yet to hear from. Went in there Saturday to order some sandwiches and to my shock they were preparing to go orders in the GF area. These were regular sandwiches. Highly disappointed as a celiac customer to see this. The staff offered to change his gloves and the blade for the meat but didn’t even realize the cross contamination issues. Their excuse was they had a large to go order and they needed the space. I appreciate having options for celiacs such as the GF bread but if you are going to promote a safe preparation then do it....

Jersey Mike’s truly delivers when it comes to a top-notch sub experience. I tried one of their signature subs, and honestly, I’m in love with it. The bread is super fresh — soft but with just the right amount of chew — and the meats and cheeses are sliced right in front of you, which makes a huge difference in taste and texture. The veggies are crisp, the toppings generous, and when you get it “Mike’s Way,” with that oil, vinegar, and spices, it all comes together beautifully.
