This was my first and only time visiting this particular McDonald's. The review reflects my experience with their drive thru
I want to preface this review by saying that I am grateful that McDonald's was kind enough to offer thank you meals for healthcare workers like myself. It's thoughtful and I appreciate the sentiment!
Today, I came to this McDonald's to capitalize on the thank you meal deal. When I ordered the thank you meal, I was immediately told by the confused worker that they offered happy meals. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and explained that I saw online that McDonald's was offering thank you meals for healthcare workers (kinda felt like a jerk explaining this for some reason haha.) I was then able to order the chicken nuggets with a small Diet Coke
I pulled up to the payment window where the worker asked if I ordered caramel frappes and apple pies. Confused, I explained that I had ordered a thank you meal. "Oh, you mean a happy meal?" "No, I ordered a thank you meal with the chicken nuggets?" "Oh! No worries go ahead and pull through to the pick up window :)" I once again decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was 11:30 and semi crowded for lunch hour.
I think the final straw was when I pulled over to the pick up window and the girl initially tried to hand over a large, heavy bag to me. I had only ordered chicken nuggets small fries and a small Diet Coke, and the bag seemed to be way too large so I mentioned my order to them, and they apologized and took the bag away. Then they tried to give me two large cups of coffee, which, I once again mentioned to them that I didn't order. I reiterated that I had ordered the chicken nugget thank you meal with a small Diet Coke. There was a guy standing behind the girl at the pick up window (the manager maybe?) who told her to "just give her this bag." I received the bag, and when I tried to check the bag to make sure it's what I ordered, I was asked to pull forward into the waiting area as they had a long line.
Imagine my surprise when I checked the bag later on and realized....that instead of the chicken nuggets and fries I ordered, they gave me two...
Read moreTook 7 mins for a soda. There was soda all over the cup and spilling from the lid, through straw opening. He walked away as I was asking for a napkin for the spill. He couldnt hear me through all the noise. Understandable. But I didnt mean to shout. He answered "WHATS UP." from the back of the store. He could have walked over instead of both of us communicating from opposite ends of the store. It created tension. I asked for a napkin. HE SAID I "DIDNT ASK FOR A NAPKIN." I said, "yes youre right, because that's what I'm asking you now and there is no napkins available, unless I ask you." I explained the soda is sticky and overflowing and he just walked away. He didnt need to give me an attitude. I understand they are understaffed but I felt this was absolutely uncalled for. and the soda just was overflowing and sticky. I lifted the lid and it just began to spill all over so I had to toss it in the trash outside from it getting everywhere. (Why I decided to write the review) Where the line was crossed was the worker began bad mouthing me to the other customer still waiting for their order. The door was slightly ajar while I was outside tossing the drink away and they thought I didnt hear them call me a "crazy lady" and "stupid" but couldn't say it to my face, only as my back was turned walking away. Please management. Your staff seems stressed, unhappy, and its affecting how they treated the customers. You need to manage breaks better. 3 people left the prep area and left 1 worker to do cooking, prep, and customer service alone in...
Read moreCashier gave away my drink and I showed her the app telling me to "enjoy my order" when I did not pick it up and explained to her what happened, she told me they don't look at the app and then told me she'll look for it back there. I wait there for 15 more minutes when I have already been waiting for 20 and then ask her again and she says she hasn't got to it yet and I explain to her again that they just gave it away and she says that she didn't because you have to show your order on your phone to pick it up when I've watched her hand out over a dozen orders without checking their phones. After over 40 minutes she finally looks at it again and says oh it's just an iced coffee I'll make it right now. These employees don't understand their own app or even have the slightest grasp on customer service and are utterly useless. This isn't a one time incident either because a very similar thing happened to me when their app malfunctioned after I ordered something a week prior and also had to wait over half an hour. If you go here and anything goes wrong with your order, good luck trying to get the employees to understand what happened in a reasonable...
