This Mcdonald’s is racist, I would not suggest going here if you’re a person of color. I’ve been going to this Mcdonald’s since 2014 and I’ve never had an issue here before they hired new people. At about 5:15-5:20 PM (2/20/23) my friend who is African American went to go ask a woman with black hair, a bun with a blue scrunchie in her hair and glasses for 2 water cups for the both of us, you see we were extremely thirsty from our long walk and we just wanted water. I understand other teenagers may abuse the water cup system and instead of getting water they get a soft drink but we just wanted water. When she asked for the two water cups the woman rudely stated that they were out of water cups and we believed it although the water cups were stacked behind the right side of the cash register but we thought it was cups for the soft drinks which we need to buy. After the encounter with the woman she went back and told me about the situation which I thought was out of the normal but I just brushed it off until I saw two white individuals ask for two water cups and they got it. Naturally I was extremely upset and went to go speak to the person about it, I nicely asked a man there to get me the woman and he went to go get her without a problem but he must’ve misunderstood and got another woman with the same description but without the blue scrunchie I told her the situation and to inform the rude woman about how furious I was and she kindly agreed. After speaking to the woman I look over to my friend who is obviously sad about the situation and ask her if she wanted to leave and we did so. I understand that the restaurant has every right to refuse service to someone but she should’ve stated that and not have made an excuse which made me even more upset. Naturally I am going to assume that this has to do with her skin tone and I will not stand for racism. If Mcdonald’s is going to continue hiring racist people I will discontinue going to Mcdonald’s and I will stop recommending this Mcdonald’s to others, this woman does not belong in customer service if she treats...
Read moreThis location out of all the other locations I have visited is not great as far as terrible customer service and management. I haven't seen this anywhere else at any other McDonald's so far. This location rarely gives you napkins every single time. Sometimes no straws like they are worried about money so they do not give you napkins or straws unless you remember to ask for them. These facts are not based on one visit but many, many visits here so this is definitely a continuing pattern. They continually forget food items and many times I have received one short of a 4 chicken nugget and order many times they will only give you 3 nuggets. Someone needs to investigate this location because this is not normal McDonald's practices anywhere else that I've been asked to review. These things are done on prose because it doesn't matter which shift it is our who waits on you whether it is going inside or in the drive through. They must need a new manager because there is no way the manager does not know about these problems since I know quite a few others who have complained to them about these problems yet even months later nothing is ever done to improve this situation. Everyone is seriously better off going a couple miles from this location to a different McDonalds not far from here that actually cares about their customers and the money they spend to keep them in business instead of shorting customers items in orders 9 times out...
Read moreFirst review I've ever written as I'm pretty sympathetic to food service but this location flat out refuses to provide service for walking in. I took my older dad here and the employees refused to wait the counter and simply yelled "USE THE KIOSK" despite the fact that at the time the kiosks in the lobby were not working (screen fully black) the only one that was working was in the other room and facing away from the lobby. I ended up grabbing a cup off the counter and filled it with water (not soda) due to not being waited on for upwards of 10 minutes as the only people in the store and the employee working ran back immediately and used profanity towards me for doing so. Bear in mind my dad is older and hard of hearing and furthermore there is a posted sign on the counter saying that you can "ask the crew for assistance" which is obviously a lie. This location clearly has no regard for elderly and disabled customers and I am going to get the city involved to see what changes can be made regarding the licensing of the establishment. This is a recurring issue at this location and most residents in the area drive to kearny mesa to patronize other McDonald's locations in an effort to avoid the horrifically...
