Was in a hurry to get to class and the last place I wanted to stop was McDonald’s but it was the only option for food drive-through… Every other place like Einstein bagels had lines out the door because it was around 8:00 AM and I didn’t have time to wait in line or I would be late for my class. So I went inside McDonald’s there was no line, but there was a little bit of construction going on and after I ordered… Keep in mind. The only thing I had to pay with at the time was my EBT and it said they accepted EBT however their “machines were down”. Usually, when I’ve been to places that say they’re EBT card scanners are down and that’s all I have to pay for food with they end up finding a machine that actually works and apologize and scan my card and it goes through or they can manually type in the number… What a concept!
Anyways, whoever took my order, seemed like they just started working there cause they were a little bit hesitant when it came to answering a few questions that I had and went to go get either the assistant or main manager in the morning, and she was extremely rude, had a very entitled and complacent demeanor, like she has been working there for a long time and worked her way up to like management or something and I was just trying to get something to eat so I wouldn’t get sick in the heat wave we were having. But there was no way for her to “physically type in my cards number” & none of the card readers were working meaning no debit card no credit cards no EBT… You could only pay in cash. I did not have cash on me so to say the least I went to class ended up getting heat stroke and it was a very negative and unproductive day… All because I decided to go to this specific McDonald’s. I’m from Delmar… our McDonald’s is insanely nice and like the opposite of what a fast food restaurant is supposed to look like… My cousin is married to the owner of McDonald’s grandson so I just called him and told him what happened and he said he would pop into this specific McDonald’s to make sure that everyone working was giving the same respect to every customer. I saw how the morning manager was assisting in helping the person before me, and after me, and I felt like she was looking down on me. I tried to treat everybody anywhere I go with the same respect I would give my friends and clearly that respect was not reciprocated at all. I will never be going back to this McDonald’s...
Read moreI will never go to this location again and implore my friends to do the same. In the drive through I ordered the chicken tenders meal and the bacon smokehouse burger meal. My daughter likes large fries and since I wasn't asked what size chicken tender meal I wanted, I inquired at the window what size fries the chicken came with. I was told I didn't order chicken, and after I specified the tenders on the receipt, I was assured that the tenders were indeed chicken. When I asked again what size fries the meal came with, I was given the list of French Fry sizes available at McDonald's. Clearly not getting through, I said nevermind and resigned myself to simply looking in my bag and giving my daughter my large fries if needed. I was asked to pull into the waiting area for the rest of my order. I didn't have to wait long, but my order came out missing her milkshake. The employee did not hear my cries if distress before rushing back into the restaurant, so I had to get out of my car and go into the restaurant to ask for the milkshake I ordered in the drive through (you know, so I didn't have to go into the restaurant). After completing my own order, I took our lunch to my daughter and found my sandwich splayed across the inside of the box like it had tripped and fallen with junior high nerdiness. While it was still delicious, my confidence in McDonald's competency to make food was further damaged. Finally, we received the wrong sauce for the chicken despite the fact I ordered the sauce twice. I don't know who is running this show, but they need...
Read moreI love getting food at McD's but last visit was UNACCEPTABLE. 😡 On Friday, January 15th I ordered 2 Sausage Egg McMuffins and a sweet tea via mobile app for pickup. I checked in curbside and was immediately charged $5.93. A lady came out and told me the store didn't have any sausage or bacon. I asked what could I do. She had no answers.
First, I'm not sure why they were open w/o sausage OR bacon for breakfast. Second, according to the FAQ on your website, section "What if I was charged for a product that is not available?", the app shouldn't have let me order items that the store doesn't have. Plus, the FAQ didn't even answer my question - to tell me what I should do if I was charged! 🤷♂️
When I went in to talk to the manager, she said she couldn't do anything! I submitted a complaint on McD's website and received a cookie cutter response from Blanca Garcia, Linda Vista 4154. "We know that 100% customer satisfaction is not possible when your food order is not completely accurate. Although our crew is trained to double-check orders, I will be certain to follow-up with them again to make sure everyone understands our procedures for ensuring accurate orders." Are you kidding me? The accuracy of what order?? The store had NO FOOD.
Now I have to call my bank to issue a chargeback since the payment for my order of NOTHING finally went through. McD's really needs to get their act together. Apparently, their app and their franchises are nowhere near on...
