I've been to Pizzeria Luigi's twice now, My cousin works close by. There's no parking usually on the street because it's a busy street so I parked in a little parking lot kind of behind to the side of it I don't know if it belong to the dragonfly place back there or not but I parked there and prayed to not get towed. I didn't get towed, thank the Gods... Anyway, when I walled in there was a woman at the cash register helping customers, but for some reason she walked away and when it was my turn some guy was there to help me. He was a little rude maybe rushed I'm not quite sure I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly and he was just kind of like pushy like he didn't like the fact that he had to wait. I'm sure he was just busy and then a line began to form behind me cuz it's a pretty busy place. So I ordered, I attempted to order two of the lasagna plates, that's what my cousin wanted, but it was $36 and she only gave me $30 for lunch lol, so I got just a slice of pepperoni pizza because I was rushed. They do have a lot of choices of types of Pizza in a display case next to the register. I couldn't even tell you what they were, because I didn't get a chance to look them and they're not labeled unfortunately. Some had a chunk of white cheese with maybe spinach, some had squiggly red sauce, there was pepperoni and only cheese. I think there's were 9 types... They also had two types on top of the display case for some reason. The pizza was all thin crust, I think. They all looked dry or like they had been there for a little bit. They cook the lasagna fresh I believe because it took 20 minutes. Unfortunately I don't know how the lasagna tasted, I didn't eat it and my cousin didn't tell me. They only have one size drink, I don't know how much it was, but it was like a kids small. Maybe 8oz. Is free refills at the soda fountain machine while you are dining in, so that's good, but I was to go, and I don't think that drink would have lasted her entire meal. The guy at the cash register would yell out orders when they were done by pizza slices, 2 slice, 5 slice, 3 slice... It took people a while to pick up their order probably unsure that it was theirs.... They have outside seating in the back as well as a few tables inside and a public customer restroom. The worker was a bit friendlier by the time he gave me my order. But their to go orders are packaged as the slice of pizza on a paper plate with a thin white paper over it, maybe parchment paper, and in a brown paper bag, the lasagna was in a little to go dish, also in a brown paper bag. I couldn't hold the paper bags the way you supposed to hold paper bags because then the food would have been sideways in the bag and containers. It was kind of difficult to carry out, for some reason the pizza slice didn't sit on top of the lasagna container very well, you kept slipping off and I dropped my pizza slice twice, thankfully still in the bag. I live about 20 minutes max away from the pizza place, by the time I got home the pizza was cold, which I don't blame them for, I warmed it up. It just tasted like cardboard and like it had been cools maybe that morning. I ordered at around 7:45pm. I'll probably eat here again as it's the closest place to my cousin's work when I go to have lunch with her, but I'd rather go somewhere else. I want to mention it was better the first time around so maybe it's just the day I went or I don't know... At the moment I wouldn't recommend this place as a first choice, but it is a very popular pizzeria. Next time I eat here I will update my review hopefully it...
Read moreI'm all for supporting local businesses, but being a resident in the same neighborhood, I have had to face a continual inconvenience.
The delivery trucks for Pizzeria Luigi routinely block parked vehicles on the street. Rather than parking in the Pizzeria Luigi parking lot, they would rather block the cars of the residents on the street.
Pizzeria Luigi, unfortunately, has fallen short in their consideration for the locals in the area.
The main issue lies with the delivery process of their supplies. Every day, like clockwork, a delivery truck rolls up on our residential streets and parks in a manner that ends up blocking parked cars of neighboring houses. An unwelcome surprise for anyone leaving for work, having to walk across the street to ask the delivery driver in the kitchen to ask them to move the truck.
I understand that businesses need their supplies and sometimes, unloading takes a while. That's not the problem. The problem is the brazen disregard for the distress this causes to the residents.
I, along with several other neighbors I've spoken with, have tried to approach the delivery personnel, asking them politely to park elsewhere or to at least hurry up when they see someone is waiting. But nothing happens.
What bothers me the most is that this could be easily resolved. As you can see from the pictures there is space in the Pizzeria Luigi parking lot. Yet, they choose to inconvenience local residents instead of their customers.
A business thrives not just on the quality of its products but also on its respect for the community it serves. And sadly, Pizza Luigi seems to prioritize its operations over the very people it...
