A Real Surprise!
I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into this place—it’s a nonprofit restaurant, which already makes it stand out—but wow, it completely won me over. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the mission behind it is even better: making healthy, flavorful Indian food accessible to everyone. You can tell they care, not just about the food, but about the people they’re serving.
We tried a bunch of dishes—fermented lentil pops, goat biryani, paneer kebabs, carrot halwa, and mango lassi. Each one had its own thing going on. The lentil pops were super crispy and surprisingly addictive. The biryani? Deeply spiced and tender, with goat that practically melted. The paneer kebabs had this smoky edge that made me slow down and really taste it. And the carrot halwa was just the right amount of sweet—comforting without being heavy. The mango lassi was the perfect finish: creamy, tangy, and refreshing.
What really stuck with me is that everything’s made from scratch, using whole ingredients. It’s not just tasty—it feels good to eat. Like, genuinely nourishing.
If you’re into food that’s thoughtful, flavorful, and served with heart, give this place a shot. I left full, happy, and kind...
Read moreI was drawn here because it’s a nonprofit that aims to help people struggling with nutrition insecurity. We received service from the owner who was immensely friendly and passionate about his project. In addition to the amazing service, the food was delicious and healthy! He gave us many things to try and even a loyalty card with generous perks for future purchase. It’s very evident that this restaurant is not in it for the money, but rather for the impact and the community.
If you have the means, give a big tip! They’re working very hard and I imagine within profit margins much lower than a typical restaurant despite providing amazing products and a service to...
Read moreSmall clean place. Probably best food value in the entire city to be honest. Found them on some food "surplus" app. My surprise lunch box came with one homemade roti, some small boneless pieces of tandoori chicken, one beef Kebab, some Indian coleslaw and a good size portion of steam rice. A small drink was also included. While waiting for my meal I was offered a cup of hot Indian tea(complimentary) All this for a total of $5 Yes five dollars! If that's not the cheapest meal deal in town then you tell me where it is. Oh and the food tasted good. Go check...
