I hate to leave a bad review for a black owned business, but people should know. I would warn against getting braids done by Emani. My finished wet braids looked fine in the shop. But when I got home I realized each braid had been closed with white flaky glue, that scrapes the skin on my back. It’s embarrassing to look like this. Additionally I paid for long braids with wavy ends and got chin length braids with 70% loose hair. There is no reason why glue should have been used in the first place. Braids should be closed with slip knots. I tried to settle this directly with Emani, but she was unable and unwilling to offer a solution, other than offering a $20 refund on a $300 service.
