I have so many good things to say about Seven Seas!
The coffee is great! My go-to is a dirty chai with oat milk. There's plenty of options when it comes to flavors, milk subs, etc.
The beans are roasted in-house; you can also buy bags there or order them online (the order online option really got us through a huge chunk of quarantine).
The baristas are awesome! Super welcoming, remember our names, remember our orders, and genuinely get to know the customers. They are also well-informed on coffee and offer suggestions if you aren't sure what to order.
Awesome atmosphere! South Park is great, and Seven Seas is right in the heart of it. The interior of the shop is cool too - check out the fish tank and custom art (when we can one day go inside again)! I love the garage-door style front.
This is one of my favorite things: they clearly have a great relationship and sense of community with the surrounding local businesses. They've gotten T-shirt designs done by the tattoo artists next door at Left Hand Black. They regularly set up at local farmers markets. There's often a local restaurant pop-up outside the shop on Sundays (sometimes other days too. They often have sweets from local bakeries like Matteo for sale. And during this weird time in 2020, they've offered the area in front of the shop to neighboring restaurant Piacere Mio for extra outdoor seating space during the evening.
Bonus: you can't come to Seven Seas without running into a cute dog, or several (and there's always a welcoming bowl of water out if you want to bring...

For me, the perfect coffee shop experience includes a well-made cappuccino (ample foam, just a small amount of steamed milk, quality espresso, not offered in S, M, L… because that’s not how cappuccinos work) served in a real cup when ordered for “here” plus a freshly warmed, beautifully flaky pastry with at least one or two savory options. Offer a great cold brew for warmer days, and you’ve got my ideal coffee shop.
Seven Seas has all of these elements, but unfortunately you can’t get them all at the same time. Cappuccinos are on point and served in lovely mugs, but they are not willing to warm up pastries for patrons enjoying them there. So you can take it home and warm it up yourself, contending with the to-go cup for your beverage, or eat their delicious pastries cold (they’re fine that way, but sooo much better freshly warmed).
The staff can be hit or miss - most are lovely and friendly, a couple do have that “we’re cooler than you because we work at a hipster coffee shop” vibe.
There are often pop up food vendors out front on the weekends, and I really like their space and decor. Gets busy at times, but they do a good job of moving through the line and getting orders...
Read moreI usually don't write reviews but I feel like my experience should be known. This my first time coming into Seven Seas, I first order two black coffee's and the lady at the front asked what kind of coffee that I wanted. Pointing at the three types they had which is fine glad she asked, when I told her which one of those I wanted. She then picked up the bag and the I repeated saying TWO CUPS, then I ordered a iced mocha coffee . I was handed the two black coffee's and the mocha which I am 100% certain it was just mainly milk and no mocha. I am annoyed that I payed $5 for an ice coffee with barely any coffee and mostly milk and no mocha. It was difficult to understand what the lady at the register was saying, but if you plan on being in customer service, I think it's best to take classes to improve your english so there is no miscommunication between you and the customer! Also who ever is the barista is very unprofessional and easily distracted. The coffee is not bad it is the customer service was horrible, I will go else...
