There aren’t enough words to express how happy I am with my new art pieces from Bommarito Art. I purchased 4 amazing photos and every time I look at them it brings me such joy! I love, love, love them!

I have been on the hunt for art pieces to fill my empty wall spaces ever since we remodeled our house a few years ago. I’ve searched online, visited galleries of well-known art photographers in the San Diego area, and recently went to Art Walk in downtown San Diego. Art Walk is where I met Dan and Jeff. They are two brothers who work hand in hand to promote and sell Dan’s beautiful photographs. They are the nicest guys you will ever meet and so hard working! Not only do they produce all the art pieces themselves (they have their own production facility in downtown), but they also personally delivered and installed my art pieces. One of our wall spaces is in a cutout along the stairs. It is quite a difficult place to hang. It took four of us (with the bulk of the work done by Jeff) to get my art hung there (see pic!). We are so thankful to Dan and Jeff for helping us hang all our art.

I am also so impressed that they produce the art pieces themselves (all of the other art photographers I considered send their images out to external parties for production). And they are able to produce their images on a multitude of mediums including acrylic and metal. Printing photographs may not sound too impressive but to produce flawless large-size acrylic and metal pieces requires some very technical skills. And make no mistake, Dan and Jeff are perfectionists that care very much about the finished quality of their art, so the resultant pieces are impeccable. My pieces are all on acrylic with custom made walnut frames also made by Dan and Jeff.

During the purchase process I wasn’t sure about the sizing of the pieces relative to my wall spaces, so Dan and Jeff came to my house and worked with me to get the sizing right. They brought example pieces in various sizes and held them up on our walls to help us decide which size would be the best for each space. We must have spent at least an hour measuring and deciding. They were so patient and helpful! They were also integral in helping us to decide which pieces to finally purchase. Dan, the artist, takes the most stunning photographs, but his brother Jeff really has an eye for suggesting which images will work best in which spaces based on the surrounding décor. They really are a fantastic team! I am extremely pleased with the final results.

I can’t recommend them enough! If you are looking for beautiful, timeless photographic art, you have to check out...

I'm adding to my previous review that I wrote after my first workshop with Daniel. I flew back out to California from Miami for another workshop with Daniel in February. He took me on a tour of some of the best surf spots in San Diego on an absolutely epic day with waves up to 15+ feet. While we shot from the water in our last workshop, this time we shot from shore. Not only did Daniel take me to some of the best spots to get the shots (South Imperial Beach, Carlsbad and Black's Beach), he constantly (and patiently) gave me tips on everything from camera settings to where to position myself to get the best shots and everything in between. Later in the day, a heavy fog rolled in over San Diego and instead of just packing it in, he suggested we head over to the pier in La Jolla and see what it looked like. What a call! The shots of the pier and under the pier with the heavy fog are absolutely magical, some of the best shots I have ever had the opportunity to take! It was an absolutely magical, ethereal scene! On top of ALL of that, he suggested a lunch location that had some of the best fish tacos I've ever had! Talk about full service!! I said in my last review that I was looking forward to getting back out to SoCal to shoot with Daniel and with good reason. Believe me when I say I will make many more trips to shoot with him. In fact, I already have another trip planned. Contact Daniel, you won't be disappointed!!

I was lucky enough to meet Daniel at an art show on Coronado the last time I was home in California and get in on a Bommarito Photo Workshop that was focused on shooting waves in the water. We shot the next two days and his coaching and pointers saved me, I would guess, hundreds of hours of trial and error!! Daniel was super enthusiastic, excited to help and share his knowledge, and seemed as stoked as I was to be out there. It was BY FAR the most fun I've ever had with my camera. I grew up in Southern California bodysurfing with my brother and our friends but I moved away many years ago. He definitely got the rust off my timing the waves and helping me find the clean water! The combination of an epic south/southwest swell, perfect wind conditions and Daniel's enthusiastic help led to two days of pure joy!! I am definitely looking forward to my next chance to get back out to San Diego and work with Daniel again. I wish there was a rating higher...

I can’t recommend Bommarito art enough. If I could rate them higher, I would in a heartbeat.

Where to start? Well, the pictures are simply amazing. Daniel has an incredible eye and is able to capture the most breathtaking moments. Then to top it off, by putting them on metal, the colors are extremely vibrant and are absolutely stunning to look at.

We met them at the San Diego Art Walk in Little Italy this spring and they had so many captivating pieces on display. We hadn’t planned on buying anything, but one of their pieces stood out and we decided to purchase it. We knew exactly where we wanted to put it, but weren’t sure which size would be the best fit. Jeff was eager to help us out and even took our picture of the space and digitally inserted their print into it. The colors worked perfectly and we decided on the larger of the two pieces they had on display.

When we got it home, it was very easy to hang. The mounting bracket was simple to install and holds the piece securely to the wall. We were very happy with our purchase and loved doing business with the brothers.

But wait, the story doesn’t end there. While we never felt like just another customer, Jeff went above and beyond to reach out to us afterwards to see how we liked the piece. We told him we were thrilled with it and also glad we didn’t go for the smaller one. We sent him a picture of it in our space and he agreed that the colors were perfect. I did have to mention that while I thought the size looked like a good fit in person, the picture I sent him made it look small for the space. Then Jeff surprised me and said that they would work with us if we wanted to get a bigger piece that would fit the space better. He apologized that he didn’t have a larger size available right away, but would make one in whatever size we decided. I used painters tape to mark out the various sizes and after discussing it with my wife, we decided to go with a larger piece. Jeff got on it right away and let us know when the new piece was finished. The whole process was painless, I simply brought the original piece back and picked up the new one (along with some chats about cars, golf and San Diego).

I do have to admit that this was our first time buying artwork this expensive and both Jeff and Daniel made it a wonderful experience. They are both a pleasure to do business with and I highly recommend...

Daniel has been an inspiration as an artist and as a friend. The enthusiasm and drive he has toward capturing the best and most unique photos is unmatched. He has taught me everything I know about the art of photography and the skills necessary to be in the right place at the right time. It takes more than a quick Google search to get a remarkable shot and Dan has honed that research skill to a masters level. The first trip that Daniel guided for me was a tough 30 mile weekend trip through the Mineral King loop in the rugged Sierras. The goal was to make it to little five lakes on the night of the full moon, we had to push it hard to make up ground we had lost on our first day. With the sun setting, we made it to the goal location on day 2. The serene high mountain lake with the backdrop of the Kaweah range made it all worth it! The full moon lit up the landscape for an amazing night shoot. I wouldn't have been able to complete the Mineral King loop without Daniels rugged experience and motivation. I came home with some of my best photography and memories that will last a lifetime! My most recent experience with Daniel and his photo touring was a short trip through Yosemite into the Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve and lastly up into the White Mountains for some astrophotography. I was limited on time for this trip and Daniel (somehow) figured out a way for us to hit all of these monumental locations within my scope. The White Mountains, Patriarch Grove, and the Bristlecone Pines with the Milky Way serving as background is still one of the most surreal experiences I have encountered. I HIGHLY recommend Daniel Bommarito for any photography related endeavors including his award winning fine art pieces. I have his Yosemite Firefall piece as the focal point of my home and I am constantly being asked how and who made this piece of art. Thank you for all the memories and knowledge Mr. Bommarito, I hope to meet up with you sooner than later!
